WPT Johannesburg: Dominik Nitsche keep his advantage until the end

Aussie Millions 2013: The 10th edition promizes to be exceptionnal

Tasmanian Poker Championship 2012: The Main Event won by Elliot Davies
Australia hosted several poker tournaments this weekend. Apart from the ANZPT Melbourne Main Event which reached its final table on Sunday, another event was held in Melbourne : the Tasmanian Poker Championship 2012. Since last Thursday, the Wrest Point Casino of Hobart received this event which registered 120 players for the two days of entry. All participants paid each $ 290 buy-in which generated a prize pool of $ 22,250 with $ 8,900 dedicated to the winner. After the two days of entry, only 22 players, including 10 of the Day 1A and 12 during the Day 1B, survived with Jon Tozer as chipleader with a stack of 95,200 chips. On Saturday, the event resumed with 22 survivors of the previous days but after a few levels, there were only 10 players on the tables. The Day 2 ended with the elimination of George Mamarcus, bubble boy of the final in the 10th place. Nine players were qualified for the final table but only the top six are in the money with a minimum gain of $ 1,335.

Texa Poker Series: From November 24 to 25, a 100% poker weekend in Gruissan
November will be a month 100% poker for the South of France. As previously announced, the WPT National Series will stop in the Massif de la Clape from November 8 to 11 in the Casino Le Phoebus Gruissan. From November 23, the same gambling place will receive another poker event, certainly less famous than the World Poker Tour National Series but which begins to grow in France: Texa Poker Series. WPT Emperors Palace: Dominik Nitsche in a few walks from the victory
The first stop of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in South Africa was a huge success. They were 230 participants who joined the poker room of the Emperors Palace Casino Johannesburg to take part in the Main Event. At the start of the third day of competition, the field was narrowed to 27 players. The German Dominik Nitsche continues to lead with the local player Ryan Price. Barrière Poker Tour 2013: Start of the new season in Deauville
The edition 2012 of the Barrière Poker Tour was a great success. WPT National Series: From November 8 to 11 in Gruissan
After the step of Magazan in July, the WPT National Series will return to France from November 3 to 11, 2012. Player Of The Year: A progression for women players
This week, women were the most successful in various poker tournaments held around the world. Their performance has been greatly rewarded because they improved their position in the world rankings Player of The Year (POY). Vanessa Selbst who just won an award at the Festa Al Lago in Las Vegas is part of them. This victory allowed her to propel to the 21 th place in the ranking. She currently holds 2,392 points. Another player, Amanda Mesumeci also made a good comeback in the POY this week. She is now at the 63rd position after winning her first gold ring at the World Series of Poker Circuit Hammond. Note that she was crowned champion of the no-limit hold'em event of $ 580. This Philadelphia native has 1,646 points. The last woman who scored the poker world this week with her talent is Melanie Weisner. She took the trophy of a side event of the World Poker Tour Poker Emperors Palace Classic, which earned her 264 points.

Live tournament: Women players shine
Two women poker players in the person of Vanessa Selbst and Melanie Weisner had just accomplished a feat in live tournaments. Emperors Palace Poker Classic WPT: Dominik Nitsche lead before the Day 2
Since Monday, October 22, Johannesburg, South Africa is hosting a large scale poker tournament on the African continent: the WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic. The Main Event of the $ 3,600 tournament drew during its Day 1 a total field of 224 players. The Day 1A registered 74 entries but after ten hours of play, only 34 players survived to the Day 2. Dominik Nitsche dominated the Day 1A with a stack of 225,700 chips while his pursuer remained far behind with 139,200 tokens: Gideon Scheepers. The Day 1A was also marked by the elimination of two winners of the World Series of Poker in the person of Joe Cada and Chris Moneymaker. They left the table prematurely face to Ronit Chamani and Emmanuel Kistan's winning hands.

Irish Poker Awards: Eoghan O'Dea received the honorary title
The award ceremony of the Irish Poker Awards was held at Regency Hotel in Dublin, Ireland last weekend. Held in conjunction with the International Poker Open, the event was attended by players and poker players in the country. The former member of the November Nine, Eoghan O'Dea won the honorary title of the Best Player of The Year at the ceremony. This native of Dublin recorded an exceptional season. Note that apart from his second place at the World Poker Tour Marrakesh 2009, he was sixth at the World Series of Poker of last year. The trophy for the best Best Cash Game Player was awarded to Chris Dowling. Jason Tompkins was offered the award of the best player in tournament. As a reminder, he participated in many major events in the world if we only mention the last EPT Sanremo during which he finished in the fifth place.

France Poker Series: Rendezvous in Paris from November 12 to 19
A new stage of the tournament France Poker Series (FPS) will take place in the French capital from November 12 to 19. ACF Poker Tour: New steps in the Season 2 program

Western Classic Poker Championship 2012: Dale Marsland, winner of the Main Event

Marrakesh Poker Open: The trophy of the 27th edition to Brian Benhamou
The 27th edition of the Marrakesh Poker Open tournament (MPO) was held in the poker room of the famous Es Saadi casino in Morocco last weekend. Once again, the organizers kept their promise of providing a successful event. In fact, they had 324 participants including French poker pros who took the start of the Main Event of 1,350 entry fee. After three days of competition, the winner of the tournament stood out. This is Brian Benhamou. The French player ousted in the final duel his compatriot Mike Said. EPT All Time Leaderboard: Ludovic Lacay in the top 10
Ludovic Lacay is one of the biggest stars of poker in France as he has already done a good course in various majors. His last performance at the European Poker Tour (EPT) San Remo let him earn an excellent position in the EPT All Time Leaderboard ranking. Indeed, he joined the top 10 ranking and is now in the 9th place. As a reminder, this French player won on last October 12 the Main Event in this tournament that brought together a field of 797 participants. Poker Hall Of Fame: Brian Sailor Roberts and Eric Drache new members
Having been part of the ten nominees for the Poker Hall of Fame in last September, Brian Sailor Roberts and Eric Drache are the lucky to receive the honorary title, already assigned to 42 players and major players in the poker world. Note that this verdict is the result of the vote of the public and the 36 members of media and people of the Poker Hall of Fame. This news is actually welcomed with joy and honor by Roberts and Drache. Both deserve this prestigious award because they contributed since a long time in developing the poker industry. Regarding Brian Roberts, he is a real specialist of Texas Hold'em because he has two bracelets at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the first was awarded in 1975. He was also part of the Texas Gamblers Road which was attended by poker legends like Doyle Brunson and Amarillo Slim. Finally, he also won an eighth place finish at the WSOP 1982 Main Event won by PhoF Jack Strauss.

Dream Poker Tournament: The 2nd edition for November 3 and 4

WPT National Vienna: The victory goes to Tomaz Kogovsek
The champion of the Main Event of 1,100 entry fee with re-entry of the World Poker Tour National Series Vienna was finally known. It's the young Slovenian Toma Kogovek. Heartland Poker Tour: Andrew Denick wins the Main Event
The poker room of Daytona Beach Kennel Club welcomed on Monday afternoon the six-handed final table of the Heartland Poker Tour. The event attracted a field of 374 players who paid a buy-in of $ 1,650. But ultimately, this is Andrew Denick who won the title. Trevor Renner, Nick Schwarmann, Fletcher McKinney and Anne Amato were among the finalists of the Heartland Poker Tour, but they were eliminated during the final table. Seoul Poker Cup: And the winner is Olivier Ziegler
The 59 survivors of the two entry days returned to Paradise Casino Walkerhill Seoul to compete in the second and final day of the first edition of the Seoul Poker Cup which challenge was to win the title. Many players left the table prematurely and the bubble burst when Guillaume Patry was eliminated in the 14th place. The thirteen remaining players were all in the money, but the final table could only receive nine players. Eliminations chained up until there were only nine players. Pravets Poker Masters: The 8th edition will be held from October 18 to 21

Seoul Poker Cup: David Han, leader of the Day 1B
Paradise Walkerhill Casino in Seoul, South Korea welcomed last weekend the Seoul Poker Cup, a live poker tournament with a buy-in of $ U.S. 1,000 (KRW1.100.000). The Day 1A brought together a field of 50 players, but after eight levels of 40 minutes, only 20 players survived from the first day of entry with Dominic Mykhaltso (71,600 chips) as chipleader. The second day of entry assembled a field of 87 players bringing the total number of participants in this new edition of the Poker Cup in Seoul to 137 participants. The number of participants was less important compared to the expectations of the organizers because the event was planned to host 100 players for each day of entry.

EPT San Remo High Roller: Benny Splinder won his 8th title
Aside from the main event that ended with the victory of Ludovic Lacay, the Italian stage of the ninth season of the European Poker Tour tournament had also a large scale tournament which is the 10,000 entry free High Roller. They were 84 players who joined the poker room of Casino San Remo to compete for the title of the tournament, creating a prize pool of 823,200 that was tie between the top 10 players. The verdict after a few days of meeting of the High Roller fall thus and resulted in the victory of the German Benny Spindler. Despite the presence of a number of marquee players on the final table, Splinder was simply fabulous. He ousted the American Kevin Stammen in the final duel long enough. As a reminder, he was also the winner of the No-Limit Hold'em Turbo side event of 2,100. For shis econd place, Stammen left with a prize of 200,000.

EPT San Remo: Ludovic Lacay won the Main Event
797 players were at the start of the Main Event of the European Poker Tour San Remo but in the last day, they were only eight players to compete for the title. ANZPT Melbourne: A $ 250 buy-in event as inaugural tournament
The Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) 2012, a reference poker tournament in Oceania has just started another step on last Thursday, October 11. EPT San Remo Day 5: Jason Lavallee at the head of eight finalists

Cooperation between different organs of the same activity is a reality. In the area of online poker and sports betting, it occurs in an agreement as it's the case between the French ARJEL and the Spanish DGOJ which agreed to work together in the future. In this project, both parties pledged to "fight more effectively against illegal sites, to present sporting ethics and increase the protection of players." Cercle Clichy Montmartre: New programs to celebrate its reopening

EPT San Remo Day 4: Jason Tompkins as chipleader of the 24 survivors
The 66 survivors at the end of the Day 3 met once again at Sanremo Casino on the Day 4 of the Main Event of the EPT Sanremo. Inge Forsmo gave way his chipleader's place to Jason Tompkins who has a well stocked stack of 2,423,000 chips. Online poker: The Italian market in regression
Being among the first European countries to legalize the opening of the online poker market, Italy is currently facing a difficult situation. Indeed, the AAMS (Amministrazionne Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato) announced at its annual report that online gambling revenues in Italy are down significantly. By referring to figures, a decrease in revenue of approximately 30% was observed between August 2011 and August 2012. Phil Ivey: A Londonian casino refuses to pay his gain of £ 7.3 million
In last August, Phil Ivey played Punto Banco in Crockfords, a gambling establishment that belong to the Malaysian Genting Group which is located in London. Global Poker Index: Mizrachi rejoin the top 10
The new update of the Global Poker Index (GPI) was marked by the huge increase of Michael Mizrachi. WSOPE: Jonathan Aguiar wins the Event #5
The game continues in Cannes in the World Series of Poker Europe 2012 (WSOPE). While survivors of the Main Event are still battling for the title, a player won a bracelet. Regulation of the European gambling market : The EGBA interpellates
To put an end to the fragmentation of European markets, the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) seized the European Commission. The EGBA also filed a complaint with the Commission following the new regulation on gambling introduced in Germany. So, by the end of October, the Commission should present its Action Plan and reporting on online games. The Karabatic and his handball team's case became a nightmare

WSOPE Event 5: Brandon Cantu chipleader of the Day 2
The Mixed Max No-Limit Hold'em, the Event 5 of the World Series of Poker Europe, brought together a field of 96 players at the start of the Day 1. Michael Mizrachi is also qualified for the Day 2, but he didn't resist until the end of the day.

WSOPE Event 4: Rosadoni wins the bracelet

European Synchronized Poker Tournament: A new European tour
In addition to the World Series of Poker Europe and the European Poker Tour, the Old Continent will receive in a few weeks a new live poker circuit. The European Synchonized Poker Tournament (ESPT) is a tournament that is based on an original concept because the event will be held simultaneously in various places throughout Europe. France is one of 10 European countries selected to host stages of the ESPT. Another specificity of this circuit is that each step will take place in two phases: the qualification and the final. The Phase 1 is a deepstack tournament which will take place during two days and it will end when it remains only 3% of the qualified players for the final. Occurring two months after Phase 1, this final phase is based on the same structure as the qualification. Each final step is preceded by a new phase of qualification. So, qualified players for the final can immediately after continue with a new phase.

WSOPE Event 3: Hairabedian won his first bracelet
The Majestic Barrière in Cannes welcomed on Wednesday the nine finalists of the Event 3 of the World Series of Poker Europe, the Pot Limit Omaha. The final table was very tough with the presence of great players in the person of Jason Mercier, Michael Mizrachi and Joe Hachem. But the chipleader of the day, the French Roger Hairabedian kept his advantage until he won his first WSOPE bracelet. On this day, Jason Mercier was the first to leave the table but his 9th place allowed him to pocket 12,245. Winamax Poker Open: The appointment of this week in Dublin
