Marrakesh Poker Open: The trophy of the 27th edition to Brian Benhamou
The 27th edition of the Marrakesh Poker Open tournament (MPO) was held in the poker room of the famous Es Saadi casino in Morocco last weekend. Once again, the organizers kept their promise of providing a successful event. In fact, they had 324 participants including French poker pros who took the start of the Main Event of 1,350 entry fee. After three days of competition, the winner of the tournament stood out. This is Brian Benhamou. The French player ousted in the final duel his compatriot Mike Said. It was a pretty tight head's up because it lasted two long hours. This victory at the MPO 27th edition is the highest performance achieved by Benhamou. He also pocketed thanks to that victory the sum of 90,000. His runner-up for his part left the tournament with the sum of 60,842. Rachid Arbaoui, Ricardo Manquant, Luis Rufas, Omar Karib, David Jaoui, Aurélie Quelain and Oscar Blanco completed the list of finalists, respectively ranked at the 3rd to the 9th place.
Among the familiar faces who also acceded in the money list, there was Karim Bennani Smires, Stephane Bazin, Jean Paul Pasqualini, Ilan Boujenah and Sébastien Compte. They were respectively ranked in the 13th, 14th, 16th, 30th and 35 th place. It should be noted that the inaugural tournament of the MPO 27th edition, a 500 Deepstack tournament was also a success story. This poker event indeed gathered 430 participants.
