WSOP Europe 2012: Batorevich as winner of the Ladies tournament
While the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe 2012 (WSOPE) continues to capture the attention of poker fans, another event ended another poker room casino. This is the ladies tournament of 550 entry fee. This event was attended by 84 players including poker stars at international level like Céline Bastian, Julie Monsacré, Vanessa Hellbuyck, Estelle Denis, Karine Nogeira and also Isabelle Balthazar. Defending champion, Barbara Martinez was also present to defend his trophy. Unfortunately, she was not able to achieve her goal because the trophy was awarded to Irina Batorevich.
The Czech was the strongest of the competition. She was the chipleader at the start of the second day of competition. And she has managed to keep her leading position until the end. Note that Batorevich faced the French Aurélie Quelain during the final heads'up. After 90 minutes of battle, the French bowed face to the Czech. The new champion pocketed for her performance the sum of 19,902. Regarding Aurélie Quelain, she increased her bankroll with the runner up prize amounting 7,974. She is now one of the best poker players in France. Note that she already won the third place in the tournament Ladies Partouche Poker Tour in 2012 and won the title of the Barrière Poker Tour Enghien les Bains. The third place is occupied by Nathalie Perignon while the American Trishelle Cannatella finished fifth. Angélique Amar, Rita Hairabedian, Alexandra Jouao, Valerie Pignot and Magali Fabron occupy respectively the 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th place.
