Player Of The Year: A progression for women players
This week, women were the most successful in various poker tournaments held around the world. Their performance has been greatly rewarded because they improved their position in the world rankings Player of The Year (POY). Vanessa Selbst who just won an award at the Festa Al Lago in Las Vegas is part of them. This victory allowed her to propel to the 21 th place in the ranking. She currently holds 2,392 points. Another player, Amanda Mesumeci also made a good comeback in the POY this week. She is now at the 63rd position after winning her first gold ring at the World Series of Poker Circuit Hammond. Note that she was crowned champion of the no-limit hold'em event of $ 580. This Philadelphia native has 1,646 points. The last woman who scored the poker world this week with her talent is Melanie Weisner. She took the trophy of a side event of the World Poker Tour Poker Emperors Palace Classic, which earned her 264 points.
In the side of men, we could mention the excellent result of Joshua Williams in the main event of the $ 1,675 WSOPC Hammond. Having triumphed face to 1536 participants, he won the trophy, the gold ring and the $ 385,909 prize. This performance also allowed him to accumulate 1,080 points.
