WPT National Vienna: Darcourt, the last French of the event, eliminated
Last weekend, the World Poker Tour (WPT) National Series visited Vienna, the largest city of Austria. The 1,100 buy-in Main Event, which took place in the poker room of Montesino Casino in Vienna brought together 170 players, generating a prize pool of 283,000. Note that the re-entry system has been implemented at this event with the first two days of competition. At the start of the Day 2, there were only 76 players competing with the Hungarian Peter Kamara as chipleader. He has 195,000 chips in hand. The German Sebastian Supper was qualified in the second position with 185,900 chips in hand, while the third place is occupied by the Israeli Oshri Cohen, who holds 178,600 chips.
In the side of French players, any of the registered players managed to reach the second day of competition. Indeed, if the hope of the French public depended on Guillaume Darcourt, this latter surrendered at the end of the Day 1B. His killer is none other than the local player Markus Stöger who occupies the 10th place. The Serbian Dorde Jovanovic, the Romanian Florian Duta, the Portuguese Joag Brito, the Slovak Kliment Frantisel, the Austrian Manuel Blaschke and the Slovak Blaz Svara are also part of the list of the top 10 players. They are respectively in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th position. Note that a prize of at least 2,140 will be received by players who will access the money list. The winner of the WPT Vienna National will walk away with a prize amounting 60,600.
