WSOPE Event 3: Hairabedian won his first bracelet
The Majestic Barrière in Cannes welcomed on Wednesday the nine finalists of the Event 3 of the World Series of Poker Europe, the Pot Limit Omaha. The final table was very tough with the presence of great players in the person of Jason Mercier, Michael Mizrachi and Joe Hachem. But the chipleader of the day, the French Roger Hairabedian kept his advantage until he won his first WSOPE bracelet. On this day, Jason Mercier was the first to leave the table but his 9th place allowed him to pocket 12,245. Michael Schwartz ( 15,357) was the next on the list followed shortly after by Michel Abecassis ( 19,606), Joe Hachem ( 25,490), Jussi Nevanlinna ( 33,765) and Jussi Ryynanen ( 45,581).
There were only Ville Mattila, Roger Hairabedian and Michael Mizrachi at the final table but Hairabedian was able to eliminate the American who pocketed 62,749 for his third place. Roger Hairabedian led the head's up in terms of stack but after a few hours, Ville Mattila came back at the same level as the French. Mattila managed to collect three pots through check / raises on the flop which was efficient. But the last hand turned to the advantage of Hairabedian when Mattila do all in. The French pocketed 142,590 for his victory while Ville Mattila won 88,130 for his runner-up place. After several EPT and PPT final, Roger Hairabedian got his first WSOP bracelet.
