WPT Johannesburg: Dominik Nitsche keep his advantage until the end
Chip leader at the start of the final table of the $ 3,300 Main Event of the World Poker Tour Johannesburg (WPT), Dominik Nitsche was entitled to the first place of the podium of the poker room of the Emperors Palace Casino in South Africa. With a huge advantage in chips, the young German reached the final duel that oppose him to Jerome Bradpiece without having problem and won the victory. However, the British player of 22 years also played well. But it was not enough to eliminate the German. The British pocketed during this event $ 121,477. Dominik Nitsche embellished also his prizelist with a new trophy. It confirms his status as a great poker player in the world. Note that he already has a World Series Of Poker 2012 trophy, a distinction that he received at a $ 1,000 tournament.
As champion, he collected the first prize of $ 206,153. With this new award, Nitsche now holds $ 2.2 million winnings in tournament. He also assured his place in the final season of the WPT XI which will take place at Bellagio in Las Vegas. Regarding the fate of the two poker players William Ross and Jason Strauss present at this final, they manage only to reach the ITM. Indeed, Strauss was eliminated early and finished 5 th while Ross reached the third place. Wesley Waigand and Anthony Andrew respectively occupy the 4 th and 6 th place.
