Winamax Poker Open: The appointment of this week in Dublin
After two years of success, the Winamax Poker Open 2012 also called European Short Handed Poker Championship sign its come back at Regency Hotel in Dublin from Thursday, September 27. For the third consecutive year, the WPO will be played in the country of Guinness to offer to poker enthusiasts four days of event during which poker will be the main activity. During the two previous editions, the Winamax Poker Open attracted 313 players and 656 players and the organizers expect to beat the record crowd for the edition 2012 because only the online qualifiers already count more than 400 players. In 2011, the title went to Steven King who pocketed a gain of 63,000.
The event has already started on Wednesday with the Super Sat of 60 buy-in, qualification for the Main Event which begins on Thursday with the Day 1A. The Main Event will last three days and is based on a short-handed structure with six players per table, a buy-in of 550, a "re-entry" formula for the fourth level of the Day 1A and 1B, and a starting stack of 20,000 chips with levels of 60 minutes. For players who have been less fortunate during the Main Event with a premature and final elimination, the organizers planned side events available to all bankrolls as buy-ins ranging from 100 to 300. In all, four side events are planned with the No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha.
