WPT Emperors Palace: Dominik Nitsche in a few walks from the victory
The first stop of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in South Africa was a huge success. They were 230 participants who joined the poker room of the Emperors Palace Casino Johannesburg to take part in the Main Event. At the start of the third day of competition, the field was narrowed to 27 players. The German Dominik Nitsche continues to lead with the local player Ryan Price. At the end of this day, the six finalists stood out. And the German still maintained his advantages because he occupies the chip lead with 2.9 million chips in hand. He beat his opponents with a large number of tokens, which will certainly benefit him during the final day.
However, nothing is acquired. Nitsche should still face opponents who are all talented before having the possibilitry to earn the trophy. Among them, there is William Ross, who has the second biggest number of chips and Jason Strauss, the third in chips. They respectively hold 1,285,000 and 1,270,000 chips. Jerome Bradpiece is fourth with 930,000 chips. Wesley Welgan and Andrew Anthony, occupy respectively the 5th and 6th position. Note that the final table of the WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic begins this Friday, October 26 from 12 am. The winner will walk away with a reward of $ 206,153 while the runner-up will be entitled to the second prize of $ 121,477.
