Many members of the top 20 of the Global Poker Index (GPI) are present in Cannes to play poker in the various events organized in the framework of the World Series of Poker Europe 2012 (WSOPE), which will certainly shake up the rankings in the next days. Currently, the top 20 didn't register any major change. The French number one Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier is still in the first place in the standings. He beat Jason Mercier and Dan Smith. Note that he is in Cannes to reinforce in one hand his 1st place in the GPI ranking and to defend the honour of France at the Main Event that he completed until here the first day of competition as leader.
