Global Poker Index: Mizrachi rejoin the top 10
The new update of the Global Poker Index (GPI) was marked by the huge increase of Michael Mizrachi. Indeed, thanks to his performance in the Pot-Limit Omaha tournament of 5,000 buy-in of the World Series of Poker Europe 2012 (WSOPE), The Grinder is back in the top 10 ranking. He won four seats and is currently at the 9th position before David Sands, who had just lost a place. Steve O'Dwyer also lost three places and is now in the 8 th position. Andrew Lichtenberger, Vanessa Selbst and Philipp Gruissem each rose one place. The four leaders of the ranking were able to maintain their ranking position.
Many poker players who accomplished good run in the various tournaments of the WSOPE 2012 also registered a big growth in the GPI 300, among which Farah Jaka who won 124 seats and is now in the 67 th position. This increase is due to his 4th place in the Mixed NLHE Max of 10,000 of the WSOPE. There is also Roger Hairabedian, champion of the same tournament, who won 36 seats and is currently in the 16th position. Brandon Cantu meanwhile won 94 seats and is ranked 129 th. Regarding the new recruits, there is the French Adrien Allain who finished 5 th in the No-Limit Hold'em Shootout of 3,000. He occupies the 208 th position in the ranking. Ana Marquez, Jess Yawitz, Jon Aguiar, Joe Kuether, Simeon Naydenov, Justin Conley and Alessandro Longobardi are also part of the GPI 300. As for players who have been victims of a sharp fall, there are Vamplev David who lost 57 places and is now relegated at the 176 th position. Jean-Philippe Rohr also lost 52 seats.
