WSOP 2012: The Events # 41, 43 and 44 deliver their verdicts
Action is present in every poker room of Rio in Las Vegas since the kickoff of the World Series of Poker 2012 (WSOP). The distribution of trophies also continues and in this framework, three players joined the ranks of those with a WSOP bracelet. Among them are Greg Ostrander who won the title in the Event # 41 No Limit Hold'em of $ 3,000. The American climb on the first step of the podium to receive the bracelet and the $ 742,072 first prize after having eliminated the Australian Jackie Glazier during the final duel. Many French players were also in the money during this event that brought together 1,394 players like Fabrice Soulier, who finished 13 th.

African Poker Tour: Birth of a new poker destination
Having conquered a large number of players in the U.S. and Europe, poker continues also to have a real success in the Asian continent. All tournaments organized in these places registered in most cases great success. And now, the extension of this game on the African continent is also felt. Partouche Poker Tour: A new edition this weekend in Forges-les-Eaux
This weekend, the Partouche Poker Tour will stop in Forges-les-Eaux after a stage in Ostend that registered a significant influx. The Partouche Poker Tour in Forges-les-Eaux will allow poker fans to have a chance to participate in the final of this circuit to be held in Cannes in next September. This stage of the PPT as the previous Super Sat includes a buy-in of 1,250 for the final qualification but also side events that could let everyone share a good time during the weekend of poker. The PPT has in its program a side event tournament of 250 buy-in, the Poker Ladies at 70 and satellite of 170 for the first Summer Sat of the Season 5 to be held at the casino of Val-André.

WSOP 2012: Kovalchuk Oleksii receive his second bracelet
In only one year career as a poker professional player, the Ukrainian Oleksii Kovalchuk has already two bracelets of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). He is the only Ukrainian to have managed such a feat. Moreover, until, he realized what many poker professionals failed to do. The first title was offered to him during the edition 2011 while he won the second by being awarded due to his high performance in the Event # 42, Omaha / Seven Card Stud Hi Lo or Better of $ 2,500 buy-in. The tournament attracted 393 participants which generated a prize pool of $ 894,075. Many top players were part of the field. But no competitor was able to get through the path of the young Ukrainian aged 22. He won the victory with a bonus of $ 228,014.

France Poker Series: In Gujan-Mestras from June 28
After Amneville step in last May, the France Poker Series (FPS) continued its course with a new stage which will be held at the Casino of Gujan-Mestras from June 28 to July 1st. This tournament is an opportunity for poker enthusiasts to meet once again before the holiday period. The FPS-Gujan Mestras will be indeed the last stop on this tour before the summer break. The tournament will be back in October with the FPS SunFest Mazagan to be held at Mazagan Beach Resort, Morocco. In mid-November, participants may meet at the Cercle Cadet for the FPS Paris during which 1000 players will be expected. This is the final stage of the France Poker Series before the grand finale of the Season 2, the FPS Final, which will be held at the Casino Barrière of Deauville.

ARJEL: A poll to assess the first results
In France, the regulation of online poker and other gambling on the internet is celebrating its two years of existence and the Regulatory Authority of Online Games (ARJEL) took the opportunity to prepare an assessment. With their two years of offering quality services to French players, we can say that licensed online poker room and sports have acquired a certain maturity. To verify the maturity of these gaming rooms including those of online poker, the ARJEL decided to adopt a special procedure designed to better understand online gamblers (Sociology and behavior) and to discern their expectations for online gambling rooms but also the authority that was established to regulate gambling and online gambling in France.

WSOP Poker Player Championship: Some quarrels on Day 2
The Poker Player Championship of $ 50,000 buy-in one of the leading tournaments part of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). The event attracts usually many poker stars. USA: The NGCB deliver the first licenses for online gambling
Online poker in the U.S. begins to emerge especially in the State of Nevada. Indeed, the Neveda Gaming Control Board granted the license "Interactive Gaming License" for three operators of online gambling within the State. This is Bally Technologies, International Game Technology (IGT) and William Hill. In the first time, the license granted will only let them to offer them to offer their service inside the State but they may subsequently request a federal license. This will allow them to extend their service to other States like California or New Jersey. Bally Technologies and IGT were licensed provider of online games but do not offer their service directly to U.S. players. As for William Hill, a British bookmaker no longer to present, the NGCB granted it a license for sports betting. With this license, Americans residing in the State of Nevada can bet on sport from their mobile as confirmed by the CEO of William Hill, Ralph Topping.

Global Index Poker: The WSOP change the ranking, ElkY continues to lead
The World Series of Poker 2012 brought great change to the Global Poker Index, the top 300 best poker players in the world. Indeed, the world championship of poker made some noticeable changes in the classification of the GPI but the strong man of the moment remains Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier who since 17 weeks still lead the standings. Behind the French, who found Stephen O'Dwyer who won some places by relegating Jason Mercier in the fifth place (-3). Marvin Rettenmaier meanwhile keeps his 4th place, letting Shawn Buchanan climbing into the Top 5 with a jump of 14 places.

WSOP Event # 39: Jan-Peter Jachtmann wins the $ 10,000 PLO
The Day of Saturday saw the coronation of Jan-Peter Jachtmann during the Event #39 of the WSOP 2012, a Pot-Limit Omaha of $ 10,000. The event, held during three days brought together 293 participants among whom 13 qualified for the day behind the quest of the WSOP bracelet. This final day lasted six hours and after a few hands, elimination succeeded like that of Sammy Farha, who was eliminated in the 11th place and still pocketed $ 43,076 for his coup. The elimination of Ville Wahlbeck at the 10th position allowed the nine survivors to play the final table, who were Jason Mercier, Steven Silverman, Micah Smith, Nikolai Yakovenko, Joe Kushner, Andy Seth, Benjamin Wise, Jan-Peter and Andrew Brown Jachtmann.

Partouche Poker Deepstack: Victory of Mathieu Jamar in Chaudfontaine
The Casino of Chaudfontaine, in Belgium was during the last weekend the place where the 8th stage of the Partouche Poker Deepstack were held. 452 players move and were present at the three days appointment of this big poker tournament in Europe with over 40,000 to win for the winner. After the Day 2, the field was reduced to 216 players and to 36 players in the last day. Manual Beldroegas was the chipleader of Day 3 with a stack of 1,677,000 followed by Ahmed Bouras and Nils Svärd with respectively a stack of 1,558,000 and 1,520,000 chips. During this last day, Ahmed Bourras and Nills Svärd fighted for the chip lead which finally returned to the Swedish before the final table with 5,670,000 chips. Nine other players accessed also at the final table like David Dupuis, Mathieu Jamar, Jim DeBarros, Fouad Atigui, Francois Leance, Francois Xavier Szkaradek, Ahmed Bourras, Thierry de Quick and David Herbez.

Event 38 of the WSOP: His first bracelet for Dung Nguyen, the fifth place for David Pham
The Event #38 No-Limit Hold'em of $ 1,500 buy-in of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) brought together a field of 2,502 participants. After three days of competition, there were only 21 survivors to compete for the bracelet like David Pham, Dung Nguyen, Jeffrey Manza, Blair Hinkle, Kristijonas Andrulis, Scott Clements, Blake Cahail, Korik Zachary, Theo Tran, Jason Lester, Bahman Jahanguiri or Tyler Patterson. Jeffrey Manza and Dung Nguyen were the two favorites of the event at the beginning of Day 3 with a respective stack of 1,302,000 and 1,273,000 chips. The eliminations sequenced until the time that the final table was set. Scott Clements was the bubble boy of the final table but failed to the 10th place.

Addiction: When a poker debt turns into robbery

Regulation of online games: Towards a common European market
With the current divergence of legislation on online gaming, European regulators met on June 20 in Barcelona as part of the XVIIth COFAR Congress ( Spanish businessmen Confederation of gambling sector). Many European regulators gathered around a round table to talk about the regulation of games including online poker in the countries of southern Europe. The round-table was attended by France, Spain, Italy and Portugal respectively represented by the President of ARJEL Jean-Francois Vilotte, the director of the Juego del Ordenacion Enrique Alejo, the director of AAMS Francesco Rodano and the vice president of Santa Casa da Misericordia Fernando Paes. The purpose of this meeting aims to seek a common standard for regulated European markets of online gambling. The other issue that was discussed was the opening of a market ".eu". The opening of this market is still far, however, European regulators agreed to a future evolution towards a single domain name for European players.

World Poker Tour: Two new steps in the calendar of the Season XI
Steve Heller, CEO of the World Poker Tour (WPT) and the staff of the organization of this legendary circuit had just announced the addition of two extra tournaments in the circuit for next season. The Season XI of the World Poker Tour will then stop in Johannesburg (South Africa) and Montreal (Canada), a step that was omitted from the WPT schedule since 2008. With these two new steps in one of the most exclusive tours around the world alongside the WSOP, the WPT will have 13 tournaments during the first half of the season 2012-2013. The Emperors Palace Hotel Casino in the South African capital will therefore receive on October 22 to 26 the WPT Emperors Palace Poker Classic Main Event with $ 3,600 buy-in. For its stage in Montreal, Playground Poker Club of Quebec will host the WPT Montreal from November 23 until 26. The main event for the Canadian stage is characterized by a buy-in of $ 3,300 with the possibility of a re-entry for the second day.

WSOP 2012 Event # 33: Max Steinberg won his first bracelet
Three days passed in the Rio poker room for the 2,795 participants who registered in the WSOP 2012 Event # 33, No-Limit Hold'em of $ 1,000. The Day 2 brought together 231 players and after 10 levels of play, Vitaly Meshcheriakov holds the chip lead with 946,000 chips. On Tuesday, the 14 survivors returned to Rio Casino in Las Vegas to compete the nine seats of the final table. Erik Seidel, Amanda Baker, Andy Frankenberger, Humberto Brenes, Jared Vengrin, Mark Radoja, Tom Middleton, Zimnan Ziyard, Faraz Jaka and Daniel Idema didn't have this luck. The 14 players were already in the money and the first player to have left the Day 3 pocketed $ 19,847. At the end of the day, nine of the 14 survivors of Day 3 acceded in the final table: Christopher Shaw, Ryan Laplante, Dylan Hortin, Samuel Gerber, Matt Stout, David Nicholson, Joseph Marzicola, Vitaly Meshcheriakov and Max Steinberg.

WSOP 2012: Victory of Bakes in the $ 10,000 HORSE
After the Day 2 of the Event # 32, the H.O.R.S.E. $ 10,000 buy-in, it stayed 15 survivors on Day 3. Among the finalists, there were many famous names of live poker including Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Dan Kelly, David "Bakes" Baker. The list was also enriched with the qualification of David Bach, Abe Mosseri, Matt Waxman, John Monnette, Paul Sokoloff and many more. But the Day 2 was also marked by the elimination of many players as the No. 1 French Betrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Mike Sexton, Fabrice Soulier, Mike Matusow, Shaun Deeb, Robert Mizrachi or Jennifer Harman. Other players like Eugene Katchalov, Nick Schulman, Owais Ahmed and Joe Tehan said also good bye to the tournament but they were in the ITM. At the start of Day 3, John Monnette was at the head of the 15 survivors of the previous day with 825,000 chips.

Event # 31: Carter Phillips takes his revenge on Joe Cada
Only 19 players on the starting 331 qualified for the final day of the No-Limit Hold'em of $ 1,500 buy-in, Event # 31 of the WSOP 2012. Joe Cada, seeking a second WSOP bracelet after winning the Main Event 2009, was on the way for a new bracelet with a stack of 720,000 chips, the shortstack before the start of the final table. But Cada fails after a head's up against Carter Phillips and lost all chances to carve his name on a new WSOP bracelet. The head's up lasted just over two hours with a large lead for Cada who started this duel with a stack of 8.9 million against 3.7 million for Carter Phillips. But Joe Cada lost most of his stack a few hands later. Phillips took the lead with 7.73 million against 4.87 million chips for his opponent.

WSOP 2-7 Lowball: The gold bracelet and $ 101,975 for Larry Wright
The Event # 30 of the World Series of Poker, the 2-7 Lowball of $ 1,500 buy-in was attended by a field of 285 players and generated a prize pool of $ 384,750 to be shared to the thirty first players who enter in the money. At the end of Day 1, Michael Mizrachi took control with a stack of 86,025 chips on the 66 survivors of the Day 2. Mizrachi gave way to Erick Lindgren in the place of chipleader at the end of the day. Both were qualified for the final table alongside Andrew Lichtenberger, Larry Wright, Erick Lindgren, Rep Porter, Ryan Tepen and Brandon Cantu. WSOP 2012 : Allyn Jaffrey-Shulman wins the Senior Event
The Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship event is very popular inside older players at the WSOP. The Rio Hotel and Casino hosted last week the Event # 29, the Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship of $ 1,000 buy-in in which 4,128 players participated. This event specially organized for players of more than 50 years experienced this year a record attendance because last year, the number of participation was only 3,752 players. After three days, only four players were qualified for the final of this poker tournament scheduled for Sunday but Bob Phelps, Dennis Phillips, Hoyt Corkins and Allyn Jaffrey-Shulman, the only woman in the final table, decided to postpone the final on last Monday.

WSOP: Timothy Adams won his first bracelet at the Four Handed NLH
The No-Limit Hold'em Four Handed is one of the novelties of the WSOP 2012. So for its first edition, this tournament attracted nearly 750 players whith many enthusiasts of live poker present there. These include among others Phil Ivey, Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Joe Cada, David Benyamine, Annette Obrestad, Maria Ho, Liv Boeree, ... After three days of fierce competition, eight players were the last survivors of the final table, four players per table as the name "Four Handed" indicates. Throughout these three days, elimination alternated and there remained only Brendon Rubie, Timothy Adams, Gregory Merson, Anthony Gregg, James Schaaf, Toan Trinh, Torrey Reily, Andrey Gulyy for the battle for the WSOP bracelet.

ACF Poker Tour: The title of the third stage won by Franck Kalfon
Last weekend, the third step of the ACF Poker Tour was held at the Aviation Club de France. The event organized as part of the ACF Summer Series brought together a field of 128 players. After two days of competition, it's Franck Kalfon who won the victory. Despite the presence of a few major players as Celine Bastian and Isabelle Mercier, who ranked respectively at the end in the 5 th and 7 th place, Kalfon found the path to success. For his performance, he bagged the first prize of 21,945. He also won a 1,500 package for the grand finale of the circuit to be held in September on the sidelines of the World Poker Tour Grand Prix of Paris.

WSOP 2012: Ylon Schwartz won a bracelet at the $ 1,500 HORSE
The HORSE Event # 27 of the World Series of Poker 2012 brought together during its four days of competition 889 players who competed for the title by paying a buy in of $ 1,500. The final day featured eight players but only three of them was on the podium, who was Ylon Schwartz, Stephen Chidwick and David Chiu. Stephen Chidwick was the first player to leave the table after having been eliminated by Ylon Schwartz. He and David Chiu was engaging a hard head's up that turned in favor of the native of New York. For his first place, Ylon Schwartz won the gold bracelet and the sum of $ 267,081. Among the eliminated players at the final table, we find Robby Rasmussen who pocketed a gain of $ 78,021 followed by Elior Zion $ 55,422, John Rogers ($ 40,169), Jason Brown ($ 29,679) and Marlon Milne ($ 22,358).

Aussie Millions Poker Championship: A promising program for the edition 2013
Part of the largest international poker tour, the Aussie Millions Poker Championship still gather at each of its editions many professionals of poker. Event # 25 and # 26: Brian Meinders and Austin Scotts join the ranks of WSOP winners
Many players are present in Las Vegas in order to inscribe his or her name in the most legendary poker tournament of the planet and why not win a bracelet of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Brian Meinders and Austin Scotts have just thus joined the ranks of great lucky ones who have been entitled to gold jewelry. For Meinders, he triumphed over 364 other players registered for the Limit Hold'em Shootout tournament of $ 1,500 to win this reward. The American had also however compete during this event to formidable competitors likeVictor Ramdim and Brock Parker but this has not prevented him to win. Both were part of the final table but unfortunately surrendered respectively in the 4 th and 5 th place. After having ousted his compatriot Darin Thomas during the final duel, Meinders won his first bracelet and a prize of $ 116,118.

Irish Winter Festival: A nice program to discover during this edition 2012
For the edition 2012 of the Irish Winter Festival, fans of the circuit will meet in the poker room of Burlington Hotel in Dublin. Note that the event will run from October 26 to 29, 2012 on the sidelines of the Oktoberfest on the Celt island, a very interesting event that will only make more pleasant the stay of participants in the tournament. WSOP 2012 Event # 24: Phil Ivey on the third place
While Phil Hellmuth had the privilege to accomplish his dream which is to win another bracelet, the 12 th of his career, Phil Ivey should continue to multiply his attempts. He was once again close to victory in the Event # 4, Omaha High Low Split 8 or Better, but unfortunately he had to settle for the third place despite his resistance. Note that Phil Ivey also grazed this feat during the Event # 17 because he was qualified for the final duel that ended with a victory of Andy Frankenberger. During the Event # 24 that brings together a field of 256 participants, it was Joe Cassidy who had the privilege of being in the first step of the podium. He's a cash game specialist and his exploits in live tournaments and online poker earned him a great gain of over $ 1.8 million.

WSOP: Simon Charette wins the Event # 23
18 players survived at the start of Day 3 of the Event # 23 of the World Series of Poker 2012, a No Limit Hold'em 6-Handed of $ 3,000 buy-in. But after a few hours of play, it's the Canadian Simon Charette who emerged victorious after knocking out a field composed of talented players like the French Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Freddy Deeb, Eugene Katchalov or Andy Frankenberger. The event brought together initially 924 participants generating a prize pool of $ 2,522,520. 104 paid places have been planned and the $ 567,624 provided for the winner is entitled to Simon Charette who was simply royal as he began the day with a rather impressive field as he was at the 9th place in the chip count with 405,000 chips at the beginning of Day 3.

Mega Poker Series 2012 in Madrid a huge success
The 3rd Event of the Mega Poker Series powered by Poker770 at the Casino Gran Madrid outnumbered the Spanish European Poker Tour stop (477 players during its stop back in March 2012) in terms of participants for 2012 and reached a total of 507 Entries from more than 12 European and international countries within two starting days. With a total prize pool of 344,250, the top 63 get paid and receive at least 1,500 whereas the winner will take home 65,000 for the efforts in the 770 Main Event.

Risoul Summer Poker Open: In the French Alps in the beginning of July

The Eureka Poker Tour Bulgaria 2012 ended on last Sunday, June 10 with the victory of the local player Petar Zografov. WSOP: Andy Frankenberger stops Phil Ivey and won the Event # 17

Global Poker Index: Elky keeps the leading position
The last update of the Global Poker Index has just been unveiled. To the delight of French people, the top spot is still occupied by Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier. WSOP 2012: The weekend brought a lot of new winners
Some new champions at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) were crowned this weekend. WPT National Series Cannes: Beginning of the final day
As the organizers estimated it, the field of the World Poker Tour National Series Cannes (WPT) increased dramatically. Women in Poker Hall of Fame: The 10 nominees announced
The Women in Poker Hall of Fame is an institution created to showcase and reward women who contributed greatly to the development of the poker industry. Each year, new members are welcomed into the institution after a severe selection. The 10 nominees of this year, made up of female poker players and VIPs in the poker industry are now available to the public. ISPT: The date of the competition and the detailed program confirmed
The International Poker Tour Stadiums (ISPT) became a big topic of conversation in the poker world for some time now. As a reminder, it's a tournament founded by Laurent Tapie and Bernard Tapie with the help of Prosper Masquelier and promises to be a very big event. Since the project was made public, rumors circulated regarding the date and the concept of the tournament. Finally, the organizers provided accurate information about it. WPT National Series Cannes: 141 players present at Day 1A
Held at the same time as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, but simply separated by the Atlantic, the Main event of 1,650 entry fee of the World Poker Tour National Series Cannes still managed to attract a field of 141 participants during its first qualifying day. Charity tournament: The 5 th edition of the tournament for the Dealing for Duchenne on June 2nd
While most of poker enthusiasts, especially professional of players are in Las Vegas to attend the World Championship which takes place now, this fact didn't stop the association Dealing for Duchenne to organize the 5th edition of its charity poker tournament Dealing for Duchenne. Indeed, the association relies on the generosity of poker players to support this charity to be held on June 2, 2012 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. It should be mentioned that the association's mission is to provide funds to support research for the treatment of muscular dystrophy by the Centre of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Note that muscular dystrophy is a disease that affects mainly children under five years. This disease creates many complications such as muscle degeneration that limits the lifetime of the victims. Indeed, children with this disease usually have an expectancy life of 25 years. Boys constitute most of the victims of this disease as they are currently numbered 3,600.

The main event of the WPT National Series Cannes will begin this Thursday, May 31 with the Day 1A and will end on Sunday, June 3rd with the Day 3 and the final table. WPT National Series: Graells victorious in St. Vincent
While most of poker enthusiasts were attracted by the WPT World Championship or the 26th edition of the Marrakesh Poker Open, the city of Saint Vincent in Italy hosted the WPT National Series, an adjunct tournament of the World Poker Tour which knows increasingly success on the circuit. For this new edition, the WPT National Series St. Vincent brought together a field of 201 players. This field generated a prize pool of over 300,000 for a buy-in of 1,650. During the Italian stage, Ricardo Juan Graells won the title and the 70,000 provided for the winner. In addition to these distinctions, the Swiss received a package for the WPT Grand Prix of Venise, a 5,000 buy-in tournament.

WSOP Event # 2: Sadan Turker, chip leader of the Day 1
After the $ 500 Event # 1 booked for casino employees which ended with the coronation of Chiab Saechao, amateurs and professional of poker met in the Amazon Room of Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for the Event # 2 of the World Series of Poker 2012 (WSOP), a No Limit Hold'em of $ 1,500. Many familiar faces made the trip for the Event # 2 like Jason Mercier, Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Sam Trickett, Vanessa Selbst, Chino Rheem, Barry Greenstein, Carlos Mortensen, Michael Mizrachi, Daniel Negreanu, JP Kelly, David Sands, Phil Hellmuth, the man with 11 WSOP bracelets and Phil Ivey who made a rather "shy" come back after a premature elimination against Maria Ho. In all, the Day 1 brought together 2,101 players but at the end of the day, 260 players qualified for the next round. This important field generated a huge prize pool of $ 2.8 million, enough to allow the 216 best players to enter in the money for a minimum gain of $ 2,893. As for the new champion 2012 of this event, he will walk away with a gold bracelet and a gain of $ 517,725.
