WSOP Event # 15: Phil Ivey chipleader
If since the beginning of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2012, Phil Ivey remained fairly discreet, he now comes out of anonymity at Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas during the Event # 15, a Seven Card Stud High Low Split 8 or Better of $ 5,000 to buy-in. Indeed, the best poker player in the world unveiled that he still has all his talents. He finished the second day of competition in the place of chipleader after amassing 285,000 chips. Note that this event registered a field of 212 participants, composed of a multitude of stars. This competition is interesting because besides the gold bracelet, the champion will also receive a bonus of $ 269,037. However, Ivey is far from being bailed out because the remaining field of 21 participants is still made up of great players like Phil Hellmuth, Eli Elezra, John Monnette, Andy Bloch or Todd Brunson.
The remaining question is could Phil Ivey maintain his lead until the victory ? In anyway, during the Event # 12, No Limit Hold'em heads-Up Championship of $ 10,000, he failed to go far enough. It's is Brian Hastings, who had the honor of occupying the top spot. Note that this online poker prodigy of 24 years old has just won his first gold bracelet after having ousted Jason MB during the final duel. For this victory, Hastings collected the sum of $ 371,498. Among the top players who accessed the money list, there are Antonio Esfandiari, Andrew Robl, Scott Baumstein, Eric Froelich and Jonathan Jaffe.
