WSOP Poker Player Championship: Some quarrels on Day 2
The Poker Player Championship of $ 50,000 buy-in one of the leading tournaments part of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). The event attracts usually many poker stars. Note that to participate in this tournament, you must know how to play poker with eight different variants. This year's tournament features a field of 108 participants generating a prize pool of $ 5,184,000. The second day of competition was marked by many eliminations because half of the field disappeared. But what really marked this Day 2 was the quarrel that took place in the poker room, involving Nikolai Yakovenko, Shaun Deeb and Abe Mosseri, when approaching the end of the day.
Indeed, due to an error of the dealer and players at the table 360, cards have been unveiled before the time. To remedy this error, the floor decided to replay the hand after the flop, a decision that Deeb refused immediately because it challenges his advantage. Indeed, he already won the main pot. The supervisor of tournament directors had therefore to intervene to calm the players. The other participants called for an additional game time, which was refused. Players have to accept then the verdict of the day. Note that the issue is important during this competition because besides the bracelet and the first prize amounting $ 1,451,527, the winner will be also entitled to the Chip Reese trophy, a prize in memory of a poker player who died in 2007. While many professional players like Mizrachi, Ivey and Doyle Brunson are still qualified for the rest of the tournament, Antony Lellouche, David Benyamine and Bruno Fitoussi will represent French players.
