WSOP 2012: First bracelet for Schaefer and Arsht, the third for Matros
Winning a bracelet at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is a dream that everyone who like playing poker hope to achieve one day, whether amateur or professional. While many players, even those already well known in this field are still looking for their first bracelet, Matt Matros just conquered his third gold jewelry by winning at the Event 16, a No Limit Hold'em 6-Max of $ 1,500. Frank Kassela, Mike Matusow and Kathy Liebert were however part of the starting field of 1,600 participants. But this great Limit Hold'em cash game specialist found the best way to evict them. With this new exploit in Las Vegas, Matros pockets the sum of $ 454,835. He now has more than $ 2.2 million winnings in live tournament.
Brandon Schaefer and David Arsht got also the privilege to access the first place of the podium in Rio. Schaefer emerged during the Event 14, a No-Limit Hold'em Shootout. He pocketed for his performance the prize of $ 311,174 and the WSOP bracelet, rewards well deserved because it is difficult to win face such a field. Note that Carlos Mortensen, David Sands, Phil Ivey, Joe Cada, Erik Seidel or Jeff Madsen were among the competitors at this tournament. They missed the title but were eligible for the reward. Arsht for his part won his first gold bracelet by defeating the 699 participants enrolled in the Event 13, a Limit Hold'em of $ 1,500. The 66 years American managed to emerge victorious despite the presence of many professionals in the field like Justin Bonomo, Isaac Haxton and Men Nguyen.
