WSOP 2012 Event 4: A victory of Leif Force at Rio
And the action continues at Rio in Las Vegas, the host institution of the World Series of Poker 2012 (WSOP). Indeed, another poker player conquered the famous bracelet and the title of WSOP champion. This is Leif Force, an American player who was already ranked 11th during the WSOP 2006 Main Event and pocketed for this performance a reward of more than $ 1.1 million. His name remains unknown to poker enthusiasts but he still managed to win against his 316 competitors during the Event 3, the Head's Up No Limit Hold'em / Pot Limit Omaha of $ 3,000 buy-in, which allowed him to pocket a bonus of $ 207,708.
It should however be noted that Leif Force was not the favorite of the final, there were other well known players as Julian Powell, George Lind or Andy Frankenberger. During the final duel, he opposed Jason Koon and earned the victory after four levels of play. Qualified for the quarterfinals, Annette Obrestad weren't able to go further. She settled for the 8th place. He game continues in this fourth day of competition of the WSOP 2012. Indeed, the Event 4, a Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8 or Better of $ 1,500 will soon announce its verdict. Xuan Liu occupies the place of chipleader at the final day. As for the Event 5 which is a Pot Limit Hold'em of $ 1,500, the field of 639 participants narrowed considerably and it is Antonio Esfandiari who leads the dance. Daniel Negreanu, seeking for another WSOP bracelet, is also in the top 10.
