WSOP: Timothy Adams won his first bracelet at the Four Handed NLH
The No-Limit Hold'em Four Handed is one of the novelties of the WSOP 2012. So for its first edition, this tournament attracted nearly 750 players whith many enthusiasts of live poker present there. These include among others Phil Ivey, Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Joe Cada, David Benyamine, Annette Obrestad, Maria Ho, Liv Boeree, ... After three days of fierce competition, eight players were the last survivors of the final table, four players per table as the name "Four Handed" indicates. Throughout these three days, elimination alternated and there remained only Brendon Rubie, Timothy Adams, Gregory Merson, Anthony Gregg, James Schaaf, Toan Trinh, Torrey Reily, Andrey Gulyy for the battle for the WSOP bracelet.
Andrey Gulyy was the first player to be eliminated. His 8th place let him to receive $ 38 279. The elimination was succeeded by that of Toan Trinh ($ 38,279), Torrey Reily ($ 70,280) and Gregory Merson ($ 70,280). The final table was played by the four remaining players and Brendon Rubie ousted Anthony Gregg and James Schaaf was eliminated by Timothy Adams. The two men left the final table with a respective gain of $ 114,711 and $ 164,823. After the elimination of these two players, Brendon Rubie and Adams Timothy began the head's up of this poker tournament and it took nearly four hours before the two players can be finally separated. Adams took over and won the gold bracelet of the Event # 28 of $ 2,500 buy-in and a gain of $ 392,476.
