Asian Poker Tour: Soon a stopover in Mauritius
Following an agreement created by the organizers on the opening of the tournament beyond Asia, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) will make stops in the western Indian Ocean, specifically in Mauritius from August 19 to 26, 2012. For this first appearance of the APT outside of Asia, a wonderful program will be at the rendezvous. The highlight of the event will be of course the Main Event accessible for a buy-in of 900. But there will be also eight side events that will be open to players and they are accessible to a buy-in between 110 and 440. The other tournaments not to be missed during the APT Mauritius are the Ladies Event, the High Roller of 2,200 entry fee and the team tournament The Battle of Nations open for 3,300.
Thus, fans of the circuit as well as poker enthusiasts of the Indian Ocean are expected at Ti Vegas Casino Grand Bay to attend eight-day festival of poker. Given the huge success accumulated by the APT since its inception, the organizers namely the Executive Director of APT, Jeff Mann, and the CEO of Paradise Event, Sylvain Liotard believe that this stage in Mauritius could experience great success. Moreover, the fact that the tournament takes place in the largest settlement of the island is a considerable asset. Players in the poker industry on the island are hoping that the holding of the tournament in the city will bring a great development of poker in the region.
