WSOP 2012 Event # 23: ElkY and Lhomeau in the way for a bracelet
Despite a bracelet of the World Series of Poker already won last year, the French, Bertrand Grospellier does not plan to stop there. His current ranking in the Event # 23 seems to claim that he is on the road to another success, in fact, he is currently in the top 10 of this No Limit Hold'em Six Handed of $ 3,000. Until here, there are only 18 players left. Another French, Damien Lhomeau is also well positioned, in the fifth position to be exact. Hearing the Marseillaise sung in the Rio poker room at the end of this competition is more than likely. Note that the Event # 23 raised a total of 924 participants, generating a prize pool rather important of $ 2,522,520. The player who could happens seize the victory will leave then with a reward of more than half a million dollars in addition to the WSOP bracelet.
However, the two French players are not yet out of the woods before reaching their goal because the remaining field is still very high. Indeed, they will still have to face formidable opponents like Freddy Deeb, Scott Montgomery, Taylor Paur, Eugene Katchalov, Craig Bergeron and Andrew Lichtenberger. ElkY will begin the next day of competition with 487,000 chips in hand, with 511,000 chips for Lhomeau while the chipleader, the British Metalidi Artem has a stack of more than 1.5 million. Several other elite of poker participated in the tournament and most of them were in the money even if they already left the party. Among them are the French David Benyamine, Liv Boeree, Roberto Romanello, Gavin Smith, Steve O'Dwyer, Will Failla, Jason Mercier and Todd Perry.
