Genting Poker Series: Paul McTaggart as winner of Edinburgh stage

While most of professional of poker are in Las Vegas trying to win a gold bracelet, a prize coveted by every fans of this game, 387 players chose to join the city of Edinburgh to play poker through the third stage of the tournament Genting Poker Series. These players paid an entry fee of £ 430 generating a prize pool of £ 154,800. The competition ended then with the victory of Paul McTaggart who pocketed the prize of £ 32,685. Before being crowned, the champion was first confronted to Paul Jackson in a hectic duel. He was the strongest and the luckiest. As runner-up, Jackson took home the prize of £ 30,000.

Note that the well known players were in the starting field. There were among others Joe Beevers who finished 28 th, Barny Boatman who ranked 14 th, Iwan Jones 22nd and Matthew Milne 21st. They were each entitled to a reward because, the organizers distributed the prize pool to the 42 best players of the game. Concerning the fate of the other finalists, Steve Miller is in the 3 rd place, Christopher McNicholls 4th, Barry Burns 5th, Paul Carnegie 6th, Robert Gregory 7th, Michael Kemp 8th and Gavin Stevenson 9 th. After this success, the Genting Poker Series gives new appointment to its fans in Stocke for a new stage of the tournament. The event is scheduled to take place from August 1st to 8th, 2012.
