WPT National Series: Triumph of Kool Shen
The French rapper, Kool Shen, was once again under the spotlight at the poker room of Casino Barrière Cannes Croisette during the final of the World Poker Tour National Series (WPT). Indeed, the leader of the NTM group has just conquered the title of the 1,650 entry fee tournament. Bruno Lopes became apparently a poker star right as he continues to achieve great feats. Indeed, despite a field of 337 participants in this tournament, that did not stop him from signing his second major title of the year. As a reminder, he was crowned champion of the EFOP Diamond Championship 2012 held at the Aviation Club de France. Note that Bruno Lopes also finished 4th at the European Poker Tour Madrid held in last March.
Kool Shen faced the chipleader of the final day, Louis Gorostis during the final duel. Given that his opponent is still a novice in live tournaments, he did not have too much trouble to remove him. Thus, the verdict came in thirty minutes of play. We sould however mention that Lopes deserves his title as he held up well during the qualifying days and was able to dominate formidable players. For this wonderful performance, Kool Shen seized 100,500 and a package to the WPT Grand Prix Paris. The runner-up who has just completed a mammoth feat also, as he is in his first participation in a live tournament was entitled to the second prize of 70,500. Yannick Massa was at the third place, Robert Giordano 4th, Fara Thomas 5th, Antonin Teisseire 6 th and Laurent Michot 7 th. The next appointment of the WPT National Series will be held from July 12 to 15, 2012. This time, players will move to Morocco.
