Bulgaria: Petar Zografov triumphed during the Eureka Poker Tour

The Eureka Poker Tour Bulgaria 2012 ended on last Sunday, June 10 with the victory of the local player Petar Zografov. As a reminder, the event started on Thursday, June 8 in the poker room of Golden Sands Casino and brought together a field of 123 participants. Happy to have well defended the honor of his country, Zografov also pocketed the top prize of € 48,745 after having ousted the Lithuanian Algirdas Saveikis during the final duel. The latter who started the final with a low stack still managed to climb to the final head's up of this poker tournament by eliminating many players as Barnabas Nagy who finished 8th, Michal Misterek (5th), Slaven Popov (4th) and Ted Stoizenbach (3rd).

However, Salveikis was not the favorite of the final. Indeed, the specialist in high-stakes cash game Daniel Karlson was part of finalist and he withstood the fury of Salveikis although he was finally eliminated at the sixth position. In his quest to win the title, Karlson for example ousted from the path of victory players like Deyan Stanev. The latter therefore occupies the 7th place. Regarding the progress of the final heads'up, Salveikis had a great advantage in chips. Indeed, he had 3.1 million chips while his opponent only had 500,000 chips. However, it is with brilliance that Zografov won the victory. Saveikis multiplied errors by emphasizing an aggressive style of play.
