During the first day of competition, organizers counted 72 inscribed and in the Day 1B, the participation rate increased slightly with 94 participants. Note that these 166 players have paid a buy-in of £ 5,000. The second day of competition of the European Poker Tour Vilamoura (EPT) has just terminated. It remains 69 competitors in the race. The last champion of the event Matias Antonio could not defend his title and left the game without reaching the paid places. Other famous players have also surrendered as Vicky Coren, Liv Boeree, Dario Minieri, Ludovic Lacay, Michel Abecassis, Antony Lellouche, Antonio Esfandiari, David Williams and John Duthie, the holder of a bracelet of the World Series of Poker, James Dempsey and the EPT Snowfest champion Allen Baekke.

After the recent success of Andrew Frankenberger in Los Angeles, the World Poker Tour London Poker Classic takes place now in Palm Beach Casino, precisely from August 30th to September 5th, 2010 in the exclusive area of Mayfair for a first European stage in London. The Day 1A has already been played by announcing the color test with a buy-in of £ 5,300 and will end on Saturday, September 4th as part of the final table. The £ 15,000 buy-in High Roller Event will for its part close the United Kingdom WPT. A lot of poker players from all around the world, predominantly European, have already taken rendezvous in the British capital for this new tournament. The presence of Phil Ivey, Tony G, Dave Ulliot, Erik Seidel, James Akenhead and Annette Obrestad are also noted.

Cannes prepares itself for one of the last great summer poker circuit event in the European calendar. This is the third edition of the Partouche Poker Tour (PPT) of € 8,500 entrance ticket and € 3,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, which will take place at the Palm Beach Casino on September 2nd to 7th, 2010. As usual, the final table of the Main Event will take place on November 6th and 7th 2010. In addition, qualifying events for the Main Even will be offered on Wednesday 1st and Thursday, September 2nd at Cannes with three super-satellite of € 900. The season 3 of Cannes PPT's will have a big step to do to break the record of the season 2 in terms of participants which knew the presence of some 523 players last year. Indeed, between EPT Vilamoura ending on September 2nd and the WPT London which is played from August 30th to September 4th, the heart of players balance among these international events.

The participation of woman players is more than requested after the end of summer holidays 2010 with a schedule of live poker tournament which was concocted for the occasion. Four large appointments, ones than the others will mark the beginning of competition for women in principle. The last result of women players during the world championship 2010 and the few turnout of women in ladies event but also their performance was still filled by the first place, a WSOP bracelet and $ 192,132 won by the French player Vanessa Hellebuyck from Team770 during the Ladies Event of World Series of Poker 2010, on last June 13th.

The tournament Joa Poker Tour, which gathered a hundred enthusiasts of poker just-concluded by crowning the best candidate of the party in the person of Fabrice Gouget on Friday, August 27th, 2010. The final of this competition lasted 9 hours and after a confrontation with Florent Leprovost, the tournament runner up, Gouget win the title with an excellent bonus of € 75,000. The Joa Poker Tour was a deepstack tournament which allowed competitors to demonstrate their style of play and patience was also at the appointment. Note that among the 100 players who participated in the grand finale of Joa Poker Tour, 46 have paid the entrance fee of € 2,500 and the 54 remaining players won their seats by participating in their super satellite qualifiers tournaments.

Compared to the stage of last year, the 2010 edition of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Vilamoura has been marked by an enormous success, as evidenced by an increase to 20% of the number of participants, equivalent of a total of 384 players. It is certainly the biggest poker event in Portugal, and there were 203 competitors who started the second day of competition. The field is composed of several leading players to name Sorel Mizzi, Tristan Clémençon, Liv Boeree, David Williams, William Reynolds, Luca Pagano, Bertrand ElkY, Lex Veldhuis, William Thorson, Daniel Negreanu, Thomas Bichon, Michael Binger but also David Kitay. Obviously, there were many French players at this stage of EPT. This large influx of poker enthusiasts at EPT Vilamoura allowed organizers to bring together a magnificent prize pool of € 1,862,400 to be distributed to the top competitors.
