British Poker Awards 2010 : Phil Ivey as best international player
The icing on the cake of the London Poker Festival, the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker Europe took place on the night of September 13th, 2010 at the Hotel Kensington. Indeed, the British Poker Awards 2010 were presented that night in the presence of a multitude of British poker players. The evening was led by the duo of Antonio Esfandiari and Michael Caselli. In addition to the 11 awards that have been assigned to each player of his class, assistance was also invited to a 50 pounds NL Hold'em tournament. Thus, for this 2010 edition of the British Poker Awards, Neil Channing was named best player in cash games. As for James Akenhead, he was named best player of the tournament.
Chris Moorman received the trophy in the category of best online player. Regarding the category of Best Poker League, it was given to The Nuts Poker League. The best UK live poker room has been awarded to Dusk Till Dawn Club, as the best forum (UK) has been awarded to Hendon Mob. As the player Sam Trickett received the title of the best beginner, Richard Ashby was considered as the most complete player. In the category of player of the year, the award was given to Praz Bansi. Finally, as in France Poker Awards, Phil Ivey won the prize of the best international player at among other contenders as Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Michael Mizrachi, Sorel Mizzi or the mysterious Isildur1.
