France Poker Series : Hot weekend in Divonnes-les-Bains
After a timid first step in Beaulieu-sur-Mer in May which gathered 149 players only, the France Poker Series is back with a better weekend in Divonne-les-Bains. With over 200 players already qualified for the second stage which will take place on September 25th and 26th, 2010, an influx of participants is expected and could surpass 300 competitors, according to latest estimates. For the tournament itself, there will be an event at 1,200 buy-in with structure relatively slow which consists of 25,000 chips and the progressive steps which increase the blinds every 40 minutes. Besides the main event, two side tournaments will also mark the program this weekend that are a short-handed of 600 and a 300 knockout where each player able to eliminate an opponent will earn a money, in addition to the standard prize pool.
Still concerning the program, for September 24th, two satellites for the Main Event will take place with a buy-in of 175 + 25 between 300 players maximum and another buy-in of 175 + 25 which will accommodate 200 players maximum. If price is concerned, the best player of the Season 1 will be triply rewarded with among others, a package for a tournament during the European Poker Tour Season 7, the buy-in and accommodation are covered during all the France Poker Series Season 2 and a sponsorship contract with the organizer of the FPS Season 2.
