World Head's Up Poker Championship: At the same time as the GUKPT final
One good news, it is one. The next edition of the World Head's Up Poker Championship will take place almost simultaneously with the final of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) in the Victoria Casino in London this year. Thus, as each year, the best players of head's up in the world will be in the British capital this autumn, specifically from November 19th to 24th, 2010. 128 candidates are expected to compete in this famous race with a buy-in of 2,000 + 200 for the Up World event. Last year, the Cypriot Bambos Xanthos won the last edition in 2009 after having defeated the Irishman James Mitchell, champion of the 2009 final. He earned that day some £ 65,000 for his performance and as a bonus, the title of best player in the discipline.
To recall, it was the French Bruno Fitoussi who won the first edition of the event in 2001 who had in front of him the famous Amarillo Slim Preston. Another event that will surely mark this major event from this year for a period of two years is the final of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) which will take place from November 18th to 28th, 2010 at the same place that is the Victoria Casino in London. The organizers of the World Head's Up Poker Championship have also announced a series of qualifiers and satellites already running on the internet but also at this casino.
