WSOPE : JP Kelly missed his 3rd bracelet
The course of the British John Paul Kelly was closely followed by the poker community during the Event 3 of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). Indeed, this young poker pro of 24 years has already recorded two WSOP bracelets and during the final day of the No Limit Hold'em of £ 1,075 buy-in, JP Kelly was on the way to win his third bracelet. Note that JP Kelly has already won the victory of the same event last year. Unfortunately, JP Kelly's double will not happen this year because he has just been ousted by his compatriot Scott Shelley during the final duel after a confrontation that lasted more than an hour.
Shelley then made a nice route and was awarded his first major award. This victory allowed him to pocket a big gain of £ 133,857, equivalent to about $ 208,000 and a prestigious WSOP bracelet. Before the feat at The Empire Casino in London, Scout Shelley was almost unknown to the public and last year, he even finished as bubble boy of the same event. As runner up, JP Kelly bagged the second prize of £ 82,854. Despite this somewhat disappointing defeat, the young player can still achieve his goal of becoming the youngest ever holder of three bracelets next year. Furthermore, he can already be welcomed because he did a nice course preceding many famous poker stars such as Phil Ivey, Phil Laak, Mike Matusow and many others in this tournament. The representatives of France, Leonard Truche and Claire Renault suceeded to be part of the winning players.
