3 Länder Poker Tour: The tournament in Hamburg canceled
The third stage of the Three Länder Poker Tour which is scheduled to take place in Spielbank of Hamburg from October 21st to 25th, 2010 has been banned by German authorities of Innenbehörde Hamburg. Local authorities have in fact warned organizers of this event to not work with any online poker school. Thus, following discontinuation of sponsorship deal with online poker school in question, the main sponsor of the event, initiators of this 3 Länder Tour Poker with the persons in charge of the casino have decided to cancel this stage. Thus, this passage of 3LPT in Hamburg foreseen for the end of October will be canceled.
To remedy this, the same tour will focus more on the Grand Final of 500,000 which will be held in Vienna, at Montesino Pokertainment Center, from December 8th to 11th, 2010, where a live streaming and many other surprises await players. Before that date, free qualifying tournaments for the Austrian capital will be organized according to the organizing companys spokesman. Meanwhile and as a reminder, the first two phases of the 3 Länder Poker Tour have been a very big success in the history of Germanic poker tournaments. With a prize pool of CHF 600,000 for the 3LT Baden and another 300,000 for the 3LT Warnemünde, some 773,470 have been distributed since the start of the tour. Over 330 players from around the world have answered by their presence in this tour, with no fewer than 30 different nationalities. These numbers may be exceeded during the grand final in Vienna.
