And another step done for the Partouche Poker Deepstack. Indeed, another stage of the PPD has just been completed over during the past weekend. Three days of competition from Friday, May 27 to 29, 2011 that took place in Forges-les-Eaux. Thus, it was a big tournament that gathered some 309 contenders who came specifically to compete in this poker event of the French circuit. As the tournament progressed, many players had to resign against the best players. They were thus about 300 players who returned home empty-handed because only the nine finalists who sit in the final table was rewarded.

Antilles Poker Tour: Jean-Paul Farah won the first edition
During five days from May 17 to 21, the first ever Antilles Poker Tour took place at the Casino du Gosier, Guadeloupe. Martinique, Guyana, St. Maarten and the island host Guadeloupe were represented at this final stage. Indeed, the first poker event of the West Indies saw the gathering of some 1,273 followers of the discipline. Besides the presence of a large audience who attended this first Caribbean appointment, the tournament in general has been very interesting. Indeed, the audience were able to enjoy the high level of competition. Strategies and action were the ingredients offered by players who made the trip.

WSOP-C National Championship: Opening of the battle at Caesars Palace
Since last Friday, May 27, the 100 players who qualified during the various stages of the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) tournaments joined the poker room of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to compete for the title of WSOPC National Championship. Indeed, this last phase is the step that close the circuit which included 15 stages throughout the season. Indeed, for this final, it will be the best players of the year that will compete each other, players who won their tickets by winning the final of the $ 1,500 buy-in main event tof each step, by being finalist of the regional championship of $ 10,000 buy-in or by finishing in the top ranking of the WSOPC.

Lukas Berglund: Crowned as first champion of the new season of the WPT
The opening stage of the new season of the World Poker Tour (WPT) ended with an incredible victory of Lukas Berglund. Indeed, this young player of 18 years with a huge talent for playing poker had just won the first stage of the WPT of this new season, held on Spanish soil. From the beginning of the final table, Lukas Berglund, owner of the fourth biggest stack of the game, was the star of the poker room after knocking out two players who were Markus Ristola and Artur Koren in one fell swoop. The two eliminated were ranked respectively 8th and 7th. A few time later, Alexander Sidorin also suffered the same fate and settled for the 6th place. Then came the turn of Guillem Usero to exit the final table and finish 5th. Jorge Duffour tried to resist but did not take long, he came out at the 4th position.

France Poker Masters: A second place for Estelle Denis
As we have seen, a plethora of poker pro completed the field of the High Roller tournament of the France Poker Masters. If some of them knew very bad fate by being eliminated early on, others resisted and had access to the final table of the event. After the exit of the table of the last three victims, the final table began. The audience of the poker room of the Aviation Club de France (ACF) thought that it will be one of the top qualified players for the final namely Estelle Denis, Marvin Rettenmaier or Lucien Cohen who would be the one that will carry the trophy. But the game decided otherwise, the lovely Estelle Denis inclined at the second position. Indeed, Carlos Lopez was better than her.

Dijon: An employee dragged to court for having stolen 60.000
The mystery of the disappearance of 364 Nintendo DS and Wii game consoles has been solved by the brigade against property and security of the departmental of Dijon, France. Additeam group: A poker tournament to hire engineers
More and more people are convinced of the positive influence of poker in everyday life. Effectively, this card game has its place in today's society because of its worldwide fame thanks to prestigious tournaments that are played around the globe. In addition, its status as sport is no longer contested because it is proved that this is a game both strategically and intellectually. Similarly, this notoriety hasn't gone unnoticed in the field of employment. The major institutions of Wall Street as well as other agencies already lived this experience and proved its good results to their respective futures. Today, the list of companies that attempt this experience is not yet closed. The latest is the Additeam group, specializing in computer engineering and information systems. Indeed, the company decided to follow the lead of his predecessors. Partouche Poker Deepstack: Kick off of the stage of Forges-Les-Eaux Friday
The Partouche Poker Deepstack (PPD) is gaining more and more fans. The stage of St-Amand won by Jerome Naye and that of Lyon that crowned as champion Raphael Kohn have all reaped the estimated success. If the PPD St. Amand attracted 355 players, a much higher turnout was recorded during the passage of the event at the Lyon Vert casino because 499 participants were recorded there. This weekend, the PPD will be back on the agenda of poker tournaments of the third week of May and the action will take place in the poker room of Forge-Les-Eaux casino.

Barrière Poker Tour: The town of Lille will host its third stage
The reputation of the Barriere Poker Tour (BPT) circuit is already acquired since its first edition as the event always offered to poker enthusiasts wonderful programs and flawless organization. But this year, the tournament is trying to seduce even more fans of the game thanks to the precious packages to the World Series of Poker Europe in Cannes (WSOPE) offered to the main event finalists. After two glorious stages in Toulouse and in Nice, a step in Lille awaits poker enthusiasts from June 3 to 5, 2011. For the 1,500 main event which will start on Saturday, June 4 from 12 a.m, organizers estimate to meet 155 participants in the poker room of the Casino Barrière of Lille. Cercle Haussmann: The police closed the game circle
Popular meeting place for poker enthusiasts, the famous French gambling club Cercle Haussmann was forced to close its doors last Monday. Already victim of such sanction from March 2008 to September 2009 for embezzlement and irregularities in the management of employees, the circle game has been reopened and was able to operate legally. Many poker players found satisfaction in the various events offered by the circle. Very soon, a new prestigious tournament was also planned to be held there which is the PariStars tournament. Even if the closure of the place is temporary, the holding of tournament there is compromised.

Christophe 'Elsagio' Lesage: The new title holder of the FPT
The road was long and the path strewn with pitfalls. Such was the course undertaken by the new champion of the France Poker Tour season 6 that has just ended at the Aviation Club de France after a little less than a week. Cork: Victory of Sam Razavi during the step of the UKIPT in the town
The new member of Black Belt, Sam Razavi was the star of the televised final table of the main event of the 500 tournament of the United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Cork. Note that the player won the right to join the Association of British best poker players thanks to his performance at the Aussie Millions 2011. MPO twentieth edition: A Belgian and an Italian as winners of the first tournaments
Dominated for a long time by French and Moroccan players, the twentieth edition of the Marrakesh Poker Open (MPO) currently taking place at Casino Es Saadi failed in its tradition. ANZPT: Peter Matusik as champion of the Gold Coast step
It's not only on the Old Continent or in the country of Uncle Sam that poker tournaments have real success. Oceania also has famous tournaments, this was the case of the Australia New Zealand Tournament Poker Tour (ANZPT) Gold Coast, which ran from May 17 to 22. Risoul Summer Poker Open: 13 tournaments during the week of July 3 to 9, 2011
Another poker event will mark the summer season in France this year 2011. Indeed, the Risoul Summer Poker Open will enter the French circuit from the second half of this year. For this new appointment, the ski resort of Risoul Hautes-Alpes is the host institution of the 13 tournaments to be held for a planned duration of one week. Thus, from July 3 to 9, 2011, this ski resort in the Hautes-Alpes will propose, not its main attraction that is skiing, but the first two deepstack tournaments limited each to 50 players with a structure of 15,000 chips at the beginning and rounds of 25 minutes. Barriere Poker Tour Nice: Victory of Jean-Michel Texier

The tournament enjoyed a great success as 103 players were registered at the poker room of the Casino Barriere in this city of the Riviera, to attend the event. WPT World Championship: Scott Seiver earns the title
By starting the televised final table of the World Poker Tour World Championship (WPT) as holder of the second biggest stack, Scott Seiver earn the title of star of the show in the Bellagio poker room. France Poker Tour Day 3: 102 players eliminated, Nesrine chipleader of Day 4
The third day of the France Poker Tour (FPT) final of this year 2011 was played this Sunday, May 22. The 157 participants who survived during the second day give the better of themselves in order to win at least the first 100 seats, synonyms of paid seats. The flow of the race was very exciting, given the reward and title to win at the competition. Thus, all the big names of poker who were still in the party tried everything possible to be among those who will take the departure of the kick off of this poker tournament Day 4, in the afternoon of Monday. However, only 45 competitors had their tickets for this new adventure.

FIDPA: Publication of the official rules of poker in tournament
"Harmonizing the rules of poker in tournament," this is the main purpose of the International Poker Federation (FIDPA). Thus, this organization founded in 2009 comes to realize its ambition by presenting on its new website a list of new rules for poker tournaments worldwide. To explain this initiative, Michelle Lau, head of FIDPA found useful to establish an official rule whatsoever for players or for the poker industry in general. For his part, Marcel Luske, another official of the organization find in these "rules of international poker" a simple and practical guide available to all those concerned, including tournament organizers.

France Poker Tour: 236 players on Day 1A
Appointment of those who love to play poker through France, the Grand Final of the France Poker Tour tournament begun last week. In order to enable all categories of player to participate in this festival, the organizers plan in the program two qualifying days. Note that the poker room of the famous gambling club Aviation Club de France (ACF) which stands on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees is the host of the tournament. The Day 1A already delivered its verdict. There were 236 players who registered for the competition. As expected, stars of the game completed the field and some of them managed to qualify for the next Day as Jean Paul Pasqualini, Hugo Lemaire and Vikash Dhorasoo who are even in pretty good position. Nicolas Levi and Manuel Bevand are also still in the race. The end of that first day ended with the qualification of 129 players for the rest of this FPT.

WPT Barcelona: Kick off of season 10 on May 23 at Gran Casino
The World Poker Tour will begin its new season from this week. Indeed, the tenth edition of this poker tour that takes place all around the world will give its kick off with its Spanish step to be held in Barcelona for a week, from May 23 to 29, 2011 at the Gran Casino. For this new poker event, the Main Event tournament will be played from 25 to 29 of the fifth month of this year. The entry fee is set at 3,200. UKIPT Cork: Beginning of an interesting event

This event is held at Rochestown Park Hotel poker room and as usual, circuit fans expect an outstanding program. WSOP-C: Jonathan Poche winner of the New Orleans stage
The latest stage of the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) was held at Harrah's poker room, in New Orleans and it was a success. Effectively, 382 participants were registered for the Main Event of $1,500 buy-in. Some renowned players like Dwyte Pilgrim, Allie Prescott and Mike Beasley were seen having seats around the tables and taking chance to win a ticket for the WSOP-C Southern Regional Championship which has to start on May 19th. WPT World Championship: Gallen Hall in an excellent position
An outstanding game is expected during the World Poker Tour World Championship (WPT) Day 5. After an amazing and interesting competition, 15 players are qualified for the TV poker show final. French poker players earnings 2011: Only three good rankings
The last Grand Final of the European Poker Tour in Madrid was crucial in the ranking of the top 20 French players. Effectively, the latest earnings won by French poker players significantly changed the final summarization table. French participants in the EPT Deauville have made an excellent result if earnings are concerned. Seen that the World Series of Poker tournaments (WSOP) count 58 events, they would surely make a similar change because their chances to win will rise, too. Note that the top three French poker players surpassed in term of earnings because they earned more than 1 million dollars and the 17 remaining players have to do a very long way if they want to catch up them.

EPT Awards Season 7: Six players rewarded, Ireland EPT Country of the year
The European Poker Tour Awards ceremony Season 7 took place on May 12th, in the Spanish capital. Eight trophies have been awarded at Pacha Nightclub in Madrid all along the night. In all, six poker players were rewarded besides the best Country organizer of the European circuit among the eight prize lists awarded this year 2011. However, if the six rewards have been evaluated according to collected points during these 13 stages of the EPT Season 7, the other two rewards which are The EPT Best Performance of The Year and the EPT Players' Choice Award were the result of players votes. They voted for only one player for these two trophies.

World Poker Tour World Championship: More than 52 players still competing
The Grand Finale of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Season IX is now in its fourth day of competition. Scandals due to the presence of Ali Tekintamgac in the Bellagio poker room marked this tournament in Las Vegas. Accused of cheating in the Partouche Poker Tour, this player qualified yet for the next stage of this competition. Everybody is thus wondering if Rio would accept participation of Tekintamgac in the world championship of poker, too. However, game went smoothly during the WPT World Championship Day 3. Big Poker Series: A stop in Marrakesh for the next edition

France Poker Tour: 1,000 participants for the sixth season
The France Poker tour 2011 (FTP) will start on Thursday 19th of May. This tournament will last around ten days and will end at the Aviation Club de France on Tuesday 29th of May. This French poker circuit includes in its program the France Poker Masters, a side event of 2,500 buy-in which will last three days from 23th to 25th of May, and will give a starting stack of 40,000 chips to players. Each round will last 60 minutes. And after that, another side event will take place and it takes the name of France Poker Deepstack with 500 of buy-in. WPT Championship : Scandals as a result of Ali Tekintamgacs presence
If the first day of the World Poker Tour World Championship (WPT) went smoothly, the second day knew a major incident due to the presence of Ali Tekintamgac in the poker room. Although this player was disqualified for cheating during the Main Event of the Partouche Poker Tour and he has to attend a court hearing next June, no decision has been made prohibiting him from participating in tournaments. However, those who participated in the WPT Championship did not appreciate seeing him there and showed their displeasure to compete against a cheater. They also expressed their incomprehension of the decision made by the tournament directors. In addition to the tension around the gaming tables, Bellagio was criticized by many professional poker players like Vanessa Selbst and Daniel Negreanu on Twitter.

EPT Champion of Champions: Jason Mercier as the star of stars
In occasion of the Grand Finale of the European Poker Tour (EPT) which is held at the Gran Casino of Madrid, an outstanding championship was organized. WSOP 2011: The first Bad Beat Seminar Series at the same time of the circuit
In partnership with Prevent Cancer Foundation, the first Bad Beat Seminar Series will be one of the shows of the World Series of Poker 2011(WSOP) and will take place at Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from May 31st to July 19th. Effectively, apart from the 58 tournaments in the program of the international poker circuit, eleven Bad Beat Seminars will be served as animation to the public at this Brazilian room from June 4th to July 10th, 2011. All in all, each of these debates will last 60 minutes during which 15 minutes will be dedicated to questions of the public. EPT Madrid Grand Finale: Ivan Freitez at the first position
The Season 7 of the European Poker Tour (EPT) ended with the award ceremony held at the poker room of Madrid Gran Casino; the title of Champion of the Grand Finale was awarded to Ivan Freitez. This finale stage of the tournament with a buy-in of 10,000 and a prizepool of 6,860,000 gathered 686 participants. It proved once again the greatness of the EPT in the Old Continent. Many professional poker players participated during this festival but anyone among them couldnt reach the finale table. WSOP-C Pennsylvania: Kenny Nguyen wins the gold ring
A great success has been recorded at the first stop of the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) in the city of Pennsylvania. EPT Awards Season 7: Two awards to be voted by players

Quebec: The Prestige Texas Holdem tournament to the benefit of diabetics on May 15
Last year, a charity poker tournament called Prestige Texas Holdem tournament has been organized to raise funds to support activities of the Association Diabetes Bas-Saint-Laurent. Open de Poker du Pasino: Decreased of attendance but victory of Carlos Lopez da Silva
Held last weekend, the third edition of the Open de Poker du Pasino (OPP) hasn't garnered the estimated success. Indeed, the Main Event attracted only 93 players, a significant decrease of the field compared to that of last year. However, the event went very well and the organization has been significantly improved, which contributed to the success of the tournament. The title of champion of the PPO 2011 has been awarded to Carlos Lopez da Silva, who pocketed for this feat the sum of 30,094. He ousted Thomas Luchia at the final head's up. As runner up, Thomas Luchia collected the second prize of 18,150. The third place with a premium of 11,240 went to Samuel Potter. Benjamin Hannuna, the former actor, Alban Messe and Djamel Boutaleb were among the celebrities who participated in the tournament.

EPT Madrid: A low crowd for the first Spanish grand final
Players who survived for the final stage of the season 7 of the European Poker Tour Madrid are now inside the competition. Indeed, between the kickoff of Saturday, May 7th and the last day of Thursday, May 12, 2011, the number of survivors decreases gradually as the European tournament progress to the final and end of the competition. Quebec: A dozen cities in the rhythm of a Charity Hold'em circuit
The Canadian city of Repentigny was the first to host the tour organized by the Ligue de tournois de poker du Québec (LTPQ) during the two days of the weekend, on May 7 and 8, 2011. EPT Madrid: Bertrand Grospellier on the top of High Roller podium
The Grand Finale of the European Poker Tour (EPT) circuit has indeed begun in Madrid. While participants for the Main Event are still fighting thoroughly to win the title, ElkY Grospellier, the French poker star already won the first trophy distributed during this final of Madrid. WPT Seminole Hard Rock: Tommy Vedes on the way for a probable double
Today is the big televised show of the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock (WPT). To recap, the event attracted a field of 433 players generating an enormous prize pool of $ 4,156,800. After two days of competitions, there were only 147 survivors who continue the race. After the third day, the public appreciated once again the talents of Annette Obrestad as she was among the top 10 of the survivors on Day 4. Club Poker Mini Series: A very good course for Christophe Drach
The first series of tournaments Club Poker Mini Series which was played at the Aviation Club de France during a full week from April 25 to May 1, 2011 had just ended. In fact, this Mini Series for a period of seven days was presented with four events of moderate buy-in. Thus, the Main Event of this tournament, a 250 No Limit Hold'em Deepstack began on April 27. This event gathered at the hall of the ACF a total field of 308 players. As structure, participants began the game with a stack of 30,000 chips and 60 minute rounds. From the kick off of the event, Christophe Drach distinguished himself from other competitors and finished the tournament on the top step of the podium of the hotly disputed final table.

WPT Seminole Hard Rock: 406 players recorded at the first day
The action actually started in the poker room of the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Florida and if everything continues in the same path, the event will certainly accumulate a magnificent success. Pasino Aix: 15,000 of four players stole in three months
The same shameful scenario of criminals held four times between November 2010 and January 2011. This is an outright theft of old players in the gaming establishments of Puyricard and Rognac, in Aix, France. Indeed, the victims, three men and one woman aged between 50 and 78 years who have a passion for poker, were attacked in the night, during the time they go home.
