EPT San Remo: Rupert Elder won the trophy
By starting the final table as chip leader of the Italian stage of the European Poker Tour (EPT), the young 24 years British, Rupert Elder, was the star of the San Remo casino's poker room. Indeed, he exploit this advantage to continue this momentum until the end and climb to the first place with a prize of 930,000. However, a formidable adversary who is the German Max Heinzelmann tried to block his path to victory until the final heads'up. But with sheer determination, Elder finally succeed Liv Boeree. Note that this is the first major trophy won by the young champion because before this feat, he had to settle for rankings in the money list of poker tournaments like the EPT Berlin.
Disappointed to have missed the place as a champion of the event for the second time, the German Max Heinzelmann however enjoyed a nice bonus of 600,000, enough to embellish his account. Four Italian players tried to defend the honor of their countries at this final table who were Francesco De Vivo, Massimilano Manograsso, Constantino Russo and Roberto Spada. But they wasn't enough good to win the title and were ranked respectively at the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th place. Max Lycov also played well in poker during the final battle because he was the fourth player of this Italian tournament. With her incredible charm and her enormous talent, the Canadian Xuan Liu defended the honor of women poker players by occupying the third place.
