WPT World Championship: Beginning of the Grand Finale
Last Saturday, the famous tournament World Poker Tour World Championship (WPT) has just started at the Bellagio Casino poker room, Las Vegas. As a reminder, this tournament will close the Season 9 of the circuit, soon. Concerning the Main Event of $25,000 buy-in, the competition gather a field of 188 participants during the Day 1. Note that participants played deepstack poker and as mentioned in the program, many renowned poker players like Daniel Negreanu, Michael Mizrachi, James Carroll, Olivier Busquet, Carlos Mortensen, Jake Cody, Mike Matusow, Vanessa Rousso, Phil Laak, David Kitai, Barry Greenstein or John Juanda were present at this prestigious tournament.
This first day of the competition ended with an early elimination of some poker stars like Carlos Mortensen, Alessio Isaia or Antonio Esfandiari. However, the game is still on for Ali Eslami who is at the second position, holding a stack of 240,475 chips, Justin Young who is at the third position, Alan Stenberg (4th) and Doyle Brunson could achieve the 6th position. Christian Harder leads the tournament with 249,975 chips in hand. The competition still continues and will surely offer good news to the public. Apart from this tournament, a greatest event will also take place at the magnificent place of Fontana Room, including the Super High Roller of $100,000, a meeting for big player. The tournament will start on next may 18th.
