Open de Poker du Pasino: Decreased of attendance but victory of Carlos Lopez da Silva
Held last weekend, the third edition of the Open de Poker du Pasino (OPP) hasn't garnered the estimated success. Indeed, the Main Event attracted only 93 players, a significant decrease of the field compared to that of last year. However, the event went very well and the organization has been significantly improved, which contributed to the success of the tournament. The title of champion of the PPO 2011 has been awarded to Carlos Lopez da Silva, who pocketed for this feat the sum of 30,094. He ousted Thomas Luchia at the final head's up. As runner up, Thomas Luchia collected the second prize of 18,150. The third place with a premium of 11,240 went to Samuel Potter. Benjamin Hannuna, the former actor, Alban Messe and Djamel Boutaleb were among the celebrities who participated in the tournament.
If the main event registered a fall of attendance, the 150 side event buy-in at the other side accumulated a unique success by bringing together 260 participants. At this event, Nicolas Coeman completely shined by winning the first place of the podium of the Pasino Saint-Amand-les-Eaux poker room. This magnificent feat earned him a gain of 8,430.80. The next meetings of those who love playing deepstack poker will be held at Forges-les-Eaux on May 27 to 29, 2011 and Saint-Amand-les-Eaux on June 10 to 12, 2011 as part of the Partouche Poker Deepstack circuit.
