World Poker Tour World Championship: More than 52 players still competing
The Grand Finale of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Season IX is now in its fourth day of competition. Scandals due to the presence of Ali Tekintamgac in the Bellagio poker room marked this tournament in Las Vegas. Accused of cheating in the Partouche Poker Tour, this player qualified yet for the next stage of this competition. Everybody is thus wondering if Rio would accept participation of Tekintamgac in the world championship of poker, too. However, game went smoothly during the WPT World Championship Day 3. Players did their best to play poker in order to win the grand prize of $1,618,344 awarded to the one who will be able to rank first. Note that 27 best players will earn money and the bubble will burst on the Day 4. The list of the finalists who will reach the final televised table will be known the same day.
At the end of the Day3, Sam El Sayed leads the race with 1,107,000 chips in hands. And a priori, he is currently remaking the similar performance as in the WPT Amnéville on last November and he can win his second title. However, the game is not played yet, because Nenad Medic and Steven Kelly follow him tightly and they can do it, too. Other renowned poker players like Christian Harder, Shannon Shorr, Justin Young, David Chiu and Galen Hall are listed in the Top 10 and awesome players like Roberto Romanello, Sam Trickett, Dave Ulliott, Ashton Griffin and the former champion of this event David Williams can also give an excellent result to achieve the final table.
