World Poker Tour Barcelona: Beginning of the event
While Scott Seiver is still enjoying his victory as champion of the World Poker Tour World Championship (WPT), the participants for the 3,500 buy-in main event of the WPT Barcelona are already beginning another new adventure. Indeed, the Spanish stage of the WPT season X has just begun and a field of 94 participants was recorded during the first qualifying day. It is a magnificent poker room that hosted the competitors because effectively, the Gran Casino has been innovated, a host of choice for this inaugural stage.
Thus, after the competition, there remain only 54 survivors for Day 2. With 112,800 chips in hand, Artur Koren took the place of chip leader. Some well known players were eliminated early like the champion of the WPT Amnéville, Sam El Sayed and José Nacho Barbero. By cons, Joel Doods who won the third place in The One Monte Carlo, Juha Helppi, Ruben Velasco, Francesco De Vivo or Leo Margets are always in good fit and are qualified for the Day 2. In the side of representatives of the Hexagon, in addition to the qualification of Thomas Bichon for the second day of competition, we can also mention the good performances of Julien Mariani, Romain Matteoli and Loïc Sa who are all listed in the top 10. The Day 1B will have 8 levels of play lasting 60 minutes each. A horde of poker stars is still expected to attend it.
