Federated Sports and Gaming League: 220 players invited to its tournament in August
The second year of the Federated Sports and Gaming League will not pass without activity. Indeed, after its creation last year, the poker League initiated by the professional player Annie Duke and the former commissioner of the World Series of Poker, Jeffrey Pollack materialize this year its ambition. Thus, during the second half of 2011 will be held the first event of this very special meeting for the world elite of poker. As selection criteria, Annie Duke based the sorting of players on performance in live tournament and titles earned during their career.
The precise timing of this series of High Stakes tournament is not officially known. However, the first "Clash of Titans" proposed by this poker league will be held in August 2011 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. In the program, there will be a Main Event of $ 20,000 buy-in, a Pro-Am tournament which will see a meeting between professionals and amateurs as well as a charity poker event. For this first appointment, some big names in the discipline will honor of their presence the invitation for this series of tournament dedicated to the elite of the poker world. Thus, among the 220 players invited, Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Johnny Chan, Men "The Master" Nguyen and Jennifer Harman also announced their participation in this exciting journey. Moreover, to the delight of viewers, an agreement for a new television program is being negotiated with the CBS television channel.
