WSOP 2011: The first Bad Beat Seminar Series at the same time of the circuit
In partnership with Prevent Cancer Foundation, the first Bad Beat Seminar Series will be one of the shows of the World Series of Poker 2011(WSOP) and will take place at Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from May 31st to July 19th. Effectively, apart from the 58 tournaments in the program of the international poker circuit, eleven Bad Beat Seminars will be served as animation to the public at this Brazilian room from June 4th to July 10th, 2011. All in all, each of these debates will last 60 minutes during which 15 minutes will be dedicated to questions of the public. In addition, the public can give $20 as donation or the equivalent of 1% of their gains during the WSOP for players.
The collaboration with partners operating in domain of cancer treatment is not a coincidence. So, the choice of the first speaker for this first Bad Beat Seminar Series is convincing. It is about the poker player Chad Brown who has just undergoes tumor surgery. He will develop the topic Defying the odds on June 4th. For the month of June, he will be followed by Andy Bloch on 11th talking about « NLH Pre flop », Doyle Brunson on 7th for « poker life », on 18th, Phil Galfond will develop « Pot Limit Omaha » and on 25th, Daniel Cates will talk about the Playing Post-Flop. During the month of July, Vanessa Selbst will discuss about the « NLH Tournament » on 1st, on 2nd will be Phil Gordons turn with « indiscretion in poker », on 7th, Annie Duke will animate the seminar by talking about « making the good decisions », and on 8th, Annette Obrestad will present « Playing the Turn and River ». Sam Chauhan and Phil Hellmuth will close the discussion series by developing one after the other the topic Tackle the Main event and The ways to better play in NLH on 10th and 11th.
