Antilles Poker Tour: Jean-Paul Farah won the first edition
During five days from May 17 to 21, the first ever Antilles Poker Tour took place at the Casino du Gosier, Guadeloupe. Martinique, Guyana, St. Maarten and the island host Guadeloupe were represented at this final stage. Indeed, the first poker event of the West Indies saw the gathering of some 1,273 followers of the discipline. Besides the presence of a large audience who attended this first Caribbean appointment, the tournament in general has been very interesting. Indeed, the audience were able to enjoy the high level of competition. Strategies and action were the ingredients offered by players who made the trip.
During this first tournament of 146,304 prize pool, the 10 best players of the final table of this Antilles Poker Tour were all rewarded, which give a great success to this event organized by the Compagnie générale d'investissements touristiques (COGIT) in collaboration with Orange. For the final round, four players were qualified, respectively Rotardier Ramon, Jean-Paul Farah, Michel Bousaid and Raymond Hope. During the final head's-up, the two survivors of the tournament, Ramon Rotardier and Jean-Paul Farah, conducted a close battle during seven hours before the audience knew the first winner. Finally, the victory of the ultimate face-to-face elected as winner the person of Jean-Paul Farah. Thus, this best player of the first APT tournament won as gains a sum of 47,548.
