French online poker : Internet providers block illegal operators
Activities will become harder and more difficult for illegal online poker sites operating in France by the measures taken by the regulatory authority of online games or ARJEL. Indeed, following the decision of the Tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris, telephone operators and internet service providers (ISP) had to block access to illegal poker and sports betting sites. This automatically implies a reduction of revenue for these operators. These measures were taken to sites that are not in good standing with respect to the administration and have continued to issue against the law in effect for two months. From that side, we can say that the ARJEL did his job by finding sites that offer recalcitrant games for French Internet users. Not content to put them always on guard, the ARJEL brought the matter to court by requiring ISPs to block access.

French online poker : Players on .fr portal feel aggrieved
As everyone knows, the opening to competition of online poker is effective for over already one month in France. It's a great step forward for gaming but not everything is rosy. There is discontent among French players, who feel aggrieved by a phenomenon that has nothing linking with liberalization : the entry of approved sites .fr by players coming from .com. The consequences were felt immediately : an influx of enthusiasts of the game most of whom are regular players, and professionals living outside France who are more experienced and beat at almost of the time local players whose level is significantly lower. Even if there is an increasing flows of money on poker tables, it is in almost of the time at the expense of French players. So, they feel injured by this practice : their accounts were emptied at a glance, the disappointment is growing to the point they no longer want to play and on the other hand, the French experienced players don't have access to .com sites. A measure that is the consequence of the law applied at the moment.

Online poker: New playground of cyber criminals
Proponents of online poker should be very carefull because scams performed by cybercriminals are becoming more frequent currently. They use many strategies to bribe their victims. Among the tricks of these scammers are e-mails hacking announcing majestic news or problems arising in the accounts of players to lead them to visit a different gaming site. In this way, hackers obtain the necessary information to steal accounts. But such a scam should not affect the players because it is obvious that the gaming sites will not solve such crucial details by sending e-mails. Thus, players must pay the utmost vigilance in seeing what kind of message. But if in doubt, inquire about the reputation of the game site is the first thing to do.

French online poker : Player are discontent
The opening to competition of poker and online sports betting is effective recently in France. Overall, everything went well. But it hide another reality, there are also unhappy and among them, the players showed their frustration on some points in this liberalization. On the side of online operators, especially for online sports betting, the picture is rather positive as opposed to online poker rooms where you can see some grumbling among both players and operators. For poker, the hope was ephemeral. For French players especially, we feel through forums debate that it is in the tax levy which is the heaviest. They believe that taxes are too high and have an impact on profit margins which have an impact on received earnings.
