Poker : Negreanu defies the old generation
The Canadian player Daniel Negreanu has just praised young poker players. But his remarks were mostly a challenge launched against the godfather of poker Doyle Brunson. Indeed, the Kid Poker aged 35 years old claimed that young poker players are much more talented and could challenge their seniors without any difficulty. According to Negreanu, young players have a great capacity of analysis. Negreanu mentioned the names of several young prodigies as proof like Tom Marchese, a 22-years-old who won the victory at the North American Poker Tour Venetian on last February and Vivek Rajkunar, champion of the World Poker Tour in Atlantic City.
Faced to this challenge, Texas Dolly, as everybody knows, holder of 10 titles in the circuit of the World Series of Poker, was not impressed. To meet the impertinence of Negreanu, Brunson said that any poker player could defy the world-renowned champions. He even showed his usual humor while arguing that these great champions remain the best playing on tables. Face of such response, Negreanu argues that Brunson blindly defends former players because according to him, Brunson completely ignores the responsibility of these young players. He added that whiz kids of poker will arrive to evict without any problems these old players such as Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth and Barry Greenstein.
