Croatian Poker Series: Confusion of the organization
Attracting the world is the challenge of any poker tournament organizer, and this is reflected by enticing offers like various contests, freerolls but especially the promise to evolve alongside celebrities or famous players. The Croatian Poker Series (CPS) is an illustration of this recipe. Indeed, this blend of poker and exotic destination has opted to invite celebrities and at the same time enthusiasts of poker. Negotiations began months ago with public figures like Mylene Cogan, Antonia Alomar, Fabrice Soulier or the editor of MIP, Claire Renaut. Similarly, names of players as ElkY, Antoine Saout, Bruno Launais have been announced to be part of this appointment. As bonus, a package including accommodation, buy-in of 1,100 for the Main Event and fees once in the country were promised by the leaders of the organization.
Apart Antonia Alomar who declined the offer because of her time constraints, all other stars have agreed to do the trip. To their amazement, the guests knew three days before the kickoff that only accommodation was settled. This provoked a vexation from the supposed guests, like Mylène Cogan who took the decision to not go there while criticizing the lack of professionalism in the organization. Patrick Faust, in who Nicolas Barbani assigned the task of providing at least the hotel for distinguished guests of the Crotian Poker Series who did not give news for three months, for his part preferred to speak of misunderstanding. The two organizers have promised to repair their mistake.
