Partouche Poker Million Madrid: Another success for Spain
The first stage of the Partouche Poker Million, which was held at the Casino Gran Madrid ended with a Spanish victory. The tournament brought together a field of 89 players who competed in four days to win the title of the event of 3,300 buy-in generating a prize pool of 267,000. Many players joined the Spanish capital, Madrid, to play this exceptional tournament to name Alain Roberts, Antonin Teisseire, Launis Bruno, Antony Lellouche, Ludovic Lacay, Tristan Clémençon Jean Montury, Nicolas Langlois, the Canadian Sorel Mizzi, the Spanish Leo Margetts and Raul Paez. Participants were entitled to 20,000 starting chips for a period of one hour's play. After several hours of clashes, the finalists overtopped who were Raul Paez, Oscar Blanco, Marvin Rettenmeier Diego Lacarte, Paul Schneider, Cayetano Garcia, John Eames, Pavel Ion and Daniel Tafur.
The final heads'up was played between the two compatriots Raul Blanco and Oscar Paez. And the latter grabbed the victory of the Partouche Poker Million after three hours of battle. Raul Paez had therefore added a beautiful title to his tally. Indeed, this player has already achieved excellent results as his third place at the World Poker Tour World Poker Open, his 11th place in the Partouche Poker Tour 2008 (PPT) and his 11th place in HORSE tournament at the World Series of Poker Europe 2008. This time, he is the champion of the Partouche Poker Million Madrid and bagged the opportunity for a reward of 85,000 and a final package for the PPT to be held in Cannes. As runner up, Oscar Blanco received 50,500. Next rendezvous in Estoril, Portugal, on August 20th to 24th for the next step.
