JOA Poker Tour 2010 : 75 survivors for the Main Event
And one day more played for the grand finale of JOA Poker Tour 2010 held at the Casino La Siesta in Antibes, France. 24 hours that saw the elimination of 26 of the 101 players who paid the 2,500 buy-in or have earned their qualification via satellite for the Main Event with a prize pool of 223,008. Among the players present at the kick-off and played with 30,000 chips the 7 levels of a duration of 60 minutes each, Clement Thumy, Eric Haik, Marc Inizan, David Pecheur and Roger Hairabedian won't have the joy to continue the adventure. The 75 survivors, which means the initial field of qualified, still in competition for the coronation, with average stack of 40,000 chips are, among others, Paul Testud, François Tardieu, Xavier Detournel, François Montmirel, Eric Roy, Jean Paul Pasqualini, Tristan Clémençon, Sylvain Lanternier or even the new generation of French poker Marc Inizan, finalist of the EPT Berlin.
They have much to do and should at least increase their efforts to play because each level will rise to a period of 90 minutes. The top 15 players will be rewarded at the end of the event with a minimum amount of 3,000 for those who will fill 13th, 14th and 15th positions and a nice check of 75,000 for the winner of the final of the Joa Poker Tour 2010. Note in passing that the tournament structure is the same of that of the European Poker Tour, especially with regard to the quality of play. This grand final also coincided with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Casino La Siesta Antibes, host of the event.
