Australia New Zealand Poker Tour Gold Coast: Nauv Kashyap won the title
The $ 2,500 buy-in Main Event of the event Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) Gold Coast brought together a field of 287 participants. The final took place last Sunday, August 15th, facing Liam O'Rourke, a player qualified through an online tournament, Dominic Coombe, Joel Dodds, Ricky Kroesen, Aaron Benton, Michael Spilkin, Brad Wilson and Le Vuong Van. To the surprise of poker enthusiasts who attended the final day, the two favorite players were eliminated early like Dominic Coombe who finished in the 9th place and Michael Spilkin who finished at the 8th place. Nevertheless, both eliminated cashed respectively $ 16,145 and $ 21,525 for their performance. Shortly after, it was the turn of Le Vuong Van to leave the party and he was followed by Brad Wilson, Joel Dodds, Aaron Benton and Liam O'Rourke.
The final head's up was then played between Kroesen and Nauv Kashyap. The battle lasted over two hours and it was Ricky Kroesen who lost but was, however, classified in the place of runner up of the tournament. This latter lost his chips in a hand during which he did all but the turn was in favor of Kashyap that allowed him to get a flush. Kroesen however received a wonderful opportunity and win a bonus of $ 116,235. Kashyap, a dentist of 26 years old from Brisbane who participated in this poker tournament by chance, was the champion of the ANZPT Gold Coast. This victory earned him an exceptional gain of $ 182,965.
