Italian Poker Tour : Great success of the Viennese stage
Despite its young age, the Italian Poker Tour, which as its name suggests is a poker tournament which takes place in the country of Berlusconi has just recorded a great success. If the result of the first edition dated of June 1st, 2009, at San Remo wasn't really persuasive, because the tournament registered a small field of 254 participants at the time, this year the attendance was more than satisfactory. Indeed, during this second stage of the season 2 which was held in Venice, a total of 505 participants were present to compete for the title of this Italian poker gathering, which is the double of registrants since its launch.
Having started on last July 29th, the IPT was held at the casino Ca'Noghera Venice. With this influx, the prize pool for the second stage of the 2010 season of IPT amounts to 979,000 and the champion will go home with an excellent reward of 235.000. On the other hand, the organizers have planned to retrieve the 72 best players of the tournament. After a day 1A which hosted 227 players and the second first day which had 278 players, the final of the IPT will be played on Monday August 2nd. In all, the season 2009 - 2010 of the Italian Poker Tour proposed a dozen steps and the same structure is also expected for the second season. Note that the record crowd of the IPT before this stop in Venice, during the first 12 stages of its existence was that of San Marino held between June 17th and 21st, 2010 during which 400 players were present.
