WPT Festa Al Lago: $1.2 million and the title for Tommy Vedes
The final table of the World Poker Tour Festa Al Lago has just found its 2009winner. The six people who disputed the title who were Freddy Deeb, Tommy Vedes, Jason Lavallee, Craig Crivello, Jason Burt and Shawn Cunix designated after eight hours of meeting the winner. EPT of Warsaw: French player make the show once again
Anyone cannot deny that the year 2009 is a real year of ostentation for French poker players and French poker. After Christophe Savary and Thomas Bichon who have just carried very high the color of France by gaining each one a stage of the prestigious World Poker Tour (WPT), here that another Frenchman win a big title. APPT: The Frenchman Guitteau ends at the second place
After the last season of the Asia Poker Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), which let us remind in the passage is one of the biggest poker tournaments of Asia and the Pacific, the New Zealand stage of this tournament of this year was once again very enriching for French players. Three French people indeed made a beautiful performance by arriving in paid places during this meeting which was held in Auckland. WPT Marrakech: A French succeeds another French
The list of French poker players who shone in a large-scale poker tournament these last two months is very long. After Thomas Bichon's victory during the Cyprian stage of the World Poker Tour (WPT), another Frenchman appropriates the African stage of the same tournament. Last Sunday, October the 18th, the French Christophe Savary indeed won the bracelet of the World Poker Tour of Marrakech. The final table of the Main Event saw the qualification of three French people, proof once again that the three-colored poker goes well. The two other representatives of the French poker at this famous final table were Julien Arenodo and Ludovic Lacay. Apparently, the World Poker Tour does not want to smile to Ludovic Lacay, two years ago of it, this one failed near the glory by ending second of the season 5 of the World Poker Tour which took place in Barcelona. French bill on online games: The EGBA asserts its dissatisfaction

EMOP: The Tour will start up on November the 25th
After a first season more than successful, the organizers of the European Masters of Poker (EMOP) prepare already the second version. Televised emission of poker: A priest wins $100,000
The first part of the emission of poker Million Dollar Challenge was held this Sunday on the American TV station Fox. For this first edition, the victory was awarded to a young 28 years old priest. The reverend Andrew Trapp, great amateur of poker officiates in the parish of Saint Michael, Garden City in South Carolina. Sports betting: 1.6 billions of turnover expected for 2010
According to an evaluation of a study published last Monday, the French market of sports betting and horse betting could reach a turnover of 1.6 billlion euros in 2010, one year after the opening of online games to competition. This figure could increase again in 2012 to reach 2 billions whereas in 2008, the French market of online sports betting generated only 26 millions of turnover to La Française des Jeux, the firm which is the monopoly holder on a whole income of 630 millions played by French gamblers on sites of online games. Luke Schwartz: Unwanted in casinos of the United Kingdom

EPT of London: Aaron Gustvason as winner

WSOPE: Three French chances for the bracelet

In the four next years, IMG is going to put in the services of the brand "World Series of Poker" its ramified networks. This new agreement has for ambition to globalize the brand "World Series of Poker" by offering more tournaments and by increasing TV broadcastings. If the brand is already well implanted in the United States, this new union is going to give much visibility to the World Series of Poker on other continents.
