Harrahs - IMG: Two giants join together to promote the WSOP
Harrahs Interactive Entertainment has just announced the continuation over four years of its agreement with IMG Sports & Entertainment. Harrah's is the company holder of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) rights whereas IMG is an undisputed giant of special event management, going from sport to fashion. In the four next years, IMG is going to put in the services of the brand "World Series of Poker" its ramified networks. This new agreement has for ambition to globalize the brand "World Series of Poker" by offering more tournaments and by increasing TV broadcastings. If the brand is already well implanted in the United States, this new union is going to give much visibility to the World Series of Poker on other continents.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Harrahs, Mitch Garber declared that this agreement arrives in time because its brand need expansion and because this one should not confine anymore from now on to the annual events which take place in the casinos of Las Vegas and London. David Abrutyn considers that the World Series of Poker is still going to grow up thanks to this new agreement: "The WSOP possesses unmistakable assets to shine on the international stage seen the dynamism in the sector of poker". During the previous partnership, new sponsors as Jack Links, Hersheys or Planters manifested thanks to IMG who is present in not less than 30 countries worldwide and takes charge of a wide range of service like management of intellectual licenses or creation of golf course.
