World Championship Poker 2 from Crave Entertainment Showcases at E3 2005
Poker made its mark at interactive entertainment industry conference and expo E3 2005, a further testament to Poker's widening scope in the entertainment industry today. Crave Entertainment's World Championship Poker 2 was among the most notable poker games showcased at E3, which took place last week. Crave Entertainment was one of the first game console software providers to recognize the growing appeal of poker. As the title lets on, World Championship Poker 2 is Crave's second attempt at bringing the poker craze to a game console near you. While by most accounts, the first World Championship Poker was a mediocre, yet admirable effort, the second installment offers a more exciting poker gaming experience. First off, World Championship Poker 2 has enlisted the "Professor of Poker," Howard Lederer to "host" the game. In addition to Lederer, Annie Duke, Lederer's own sister, Greg Raymer, Robert Williamson III, Amir Vahidi, Clonie Gowen, Paul Darden, as well as famed tournament director Matt Savage also join the game. Players will have the option of choosing from ten different card games, including the usual Texas hold'em and five card draw, but also some less expected versions, like pineapple and baseball. World Championship Poker 2 can be expected on the shelves by this coming autumn.
