Honda leads in Sachsenring, Marquez victorious again - MotoGP
After his controversial misadventure at the Assen Grand Prix, Marc Marquez wrapped up the weekend with a truly impressive performance in the German Grand Prix held at the Sachsenring. Honda dominated the race with the Spaniard motocycle road racer winning over his teammate Dani Pedrosa. Admittedly, Honda's result at this pre-summer holiday MotoGP is impressive. While Marquez took control of the race early in the fifth round, Pedrosa successfully claimed the 2nd position ahead of online betting favorite racer,Valentino Rossi. Finishing 1st, Marquez notches his best performance of the season in this stage. As for 3rd-place finisher Rossi (179 pts), he becomes the championship leader with13 points ahead of his teammate (166 pts). Andrea Iannone, for his part is ranked 3rd overall after nine MotoGP races with 118 points, followed by Marc Marquez (114 pts) and Bradley Smith (87 pts).
The same track actually saw Jorge Lorenzo making a good start by riding outside the line in the first corner with two other racer ahead of him. However, the Sachsenring track is likely not the ideal one for his Yamaha. Both Hondas were a success. Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa were satisfied with their respective pre-summer break performance. In the meantime, both men admitted that a number of improvements are still needed to make their beasts more competitive in the forthcoming MotoGPs. Hence, sports betting enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the kick-off of the second half of the season. It is scheduled on August 9 with the Indianapolis Grand Prix.
