A PSG vs Lille match to open the 2015/2016 season - Ligue 1
The Ligue 1 of the French football federation (LFP) schedule for the 2015/2016 season was adopted at the meeting of the Board of the LFP. Sports betting enthusiasts can therefore take the prognosis on the French football championship starting on Friday, August 7 with as opening match a duel PSG vs Lille. The Lille - Paris Saint-Germain confrontation should attract many bets on football, because the current champion will travel to Lille on this first day of the new season. The meeting schedule was developed by the Sports Activities Department of the LFP. The schedule is a real challenge every season as it should reflect the wishes of clubs without compromising the sporting aspects despite climatic and organizational constraints.
Thus, the calendar structure was modified while maintaining a phase at home and an outside phase. The new season have now four pivots per club against two during the previous seasons. As a reminder, a pivot consists of a succession of two games at home or outside. In other words, each club in Ligue 1 play at home or outdoors twice to four times during the new season. Each club will play at most three games away on a series of five games. The first day will continue with meetings between Bordeaux vs Reims, Nantes vs Guingamp, Ajaccio vs Troyes, Montpellier vs Angers, Nice vs Monaco, Marseille vs Caen, Lyon vs Lorient, Bastia vs Rennes, and Toulouse vs Saint-Etienne.
