A continual decrease of its turnover - Barrière casino of Trouville
The Barrière casino of Trouville is a French gambling facility which is currently in a bad way according to its turnover of last year. Indeed, Trouville casino gambling revenue continues to decline, -15.2% to € 772,000 during the 2013-2014 accounting year, according to the summary of the annual report of the institution presented by the mayor Christian Cardon. However, improvements have been noticed with a positive balance of € 860,000 against a negative balance of € 173,000 in 2013. This positive outcome is the result of voluntary departure plan undertaken by the institution. The plan was negotiated with premiums and has reduced the number of employees from 200 to 120. Despite this sad situation, the Barrière Casino of Trouville received on Saturday a favorable opinion of the municipal council for the renewal of its authorization in offering casino games.
This year, the figures could still recede further with the various contexts happening in recent months. The discomfort caused by the work near the casino, marine cures and parking, is added to other events that have a direct impact on the numbers of visitors of the gambling facility: the smoking ban since 2008, the obligation to present identity card and the reducing of player’s game budget because of the crisis. Note that the presentation of identity cards in all French casinos is required even if it’s for playing slot machines.
